    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body under cover that has durability against flying foreign matters such as flying pebbles, even if non-woven fabric is used on a road surface-side outer surface for exhibiting sound absorbing effect with respect to road noise which is generated by engine noise leaking to the outside or from the road surface.SOLUTION: At least a base material layer 11 formed by mixing a fiber-reinforced material and first thermoplastic synthetic resin 13, and a non-woven fabric layer 15 formed of thermoplastic synthetic fiber on a surface of the base material layer 11 facing the road surface are laminated, to form a fiber shaped material by thermally fusing the surfaces of the layers to be formed into a predetermined shape by compression molding. The first thermoplastic synthetic resin 13 of the base material layer 11 melts in a heating step during molding. The non-woven fabric layer 15 is formed by mixing second thermoplastic synthetic fiber 16 that melts in the heating step during molding and third thermoplastic synthetic fiber 17 that does not melt in the heating step during molding.
