SOLUTION: This night visual range support device for a vehicle is provided with: an infrared camera which picks up the front of a vehicle; a main display on which an image picked up with the infrared camera is displayed; a subdisplay which is different from the main display; and a control means for determining whether a pedestrian exists in the image displayed on the main display, and controlling the subdisplay so as to perform reminder display when it is determined that the pedestrian exists, wherein the control means estimates or detects whether the pedestrian who no longer exists on the image displayed on the main display exists within a visual field range of the driver, and controls the subdisplay so as to perform the reminder display also when it is estimated or detected that the pedestrian who no longer exists in the image displayed on the main display exists in the visual field range of the driver.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve visualization of images imaged in a plurality of different directions without being subjected to brightness correction of the images obtained by combining images imaged in a plurality of different directions while being subjected to the brightness correction to be synthesized into one image when the former image and the latter image are synthesized without influence of brightness correction of the latter image and displayed in a vehicle periphery monitoring device. SOLUTION: Among images imaged by a plurality of imaging means for imaging the periphery of a vehicle and any one of the plurality of the imaging means, a value corresponding to the brightness of the images is calculated. Based on the calculated value, the brightness of the image obtained by the plurality of imaging means is corrected. After performing a predetermined coordinate transformation to images subjected to brightness correction, they are synthesized into one image.
