摘要：撮像画像から抽出された対象物候補について、予め除外処理(フィルタリング)した後で、種別判定を行う。ここで、該除外処理は、対象物候補が、所望の種別の対象物候補について予め設定された所定の大きさを有すると仮定し、現在画像内の対象物候補の大きさに基づいて、車両から対象物候補までの距離(Z0)を算出し、過去画像が撮像された時刻から現在画像が撮像された時刻までの時間間隔で発生する車両の移動距離(ΔZ)を算出し、現在画像中の対象物候補の大きさを、該対象物候補までの距離および移動距離に基づく変化率で縮小し、過去画像中の対象物候補の大きさと、変化率で縮小された対象物候補の大きさ(Ghv)とを比較する。両者の差が所定値より大きいと判定された対象物候補を除外する。所望の対象物以外のものを粗く除外した上で精細な種別判定を行うので、演算負荷を軽減して誤判定を低下させることができる。

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further accurately determine a position of a target detected from a picked-up image regardless of a behavior of a vehicle. SOLUTION: An image of an area around a vehicle is picked up using a camera mounted in the vehicle. Based on the picked-up image, a distant object estimated to have a prescribed value of a distance or longer from the vehicle in an actual space, and estimated to be located at a height of a prescribed value or higher is detected based on the picked-up image. A predetermined target is also detected based on the picked-up image. On the image, a position of a predetermined point included in the target detected is specified with reference to a predetermined point included in the distant object detected. Based on the specified position on the image, the position of the target in the actual space is calculated. 摘要：車両に搭載され、該車両の周辺を撮像し、撮像された画像に基づいて、前記車両の周辺の対象物を検出する。検出された対象物が、歩行者または動物であるかを判定し、該判定された対象物が、車両から所定範囲内に存在する場合に、該車両の運転者に対して警報を行う。ここで、検出された対象物が動物であると判定され、かつ所定範囲内に存在すると判定されたならば、該動物が該所定範囲外に脱した後でも所定時間にわたって警報を継続する。動物は、群れて行動する等の習性を持っており、所定範囲外を脱した後も、車両周囲に動物が潜んでいる可能性がある。したがって、警報を継続することにより、潜む危険に対する運転者の注意を喚起させることができる。
