    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly and appropriately deploy an occupant restraining device by detecting the rollover of a vehicle at high speed. SOLUTION: Composition speed and lateral acceleration are generated by a lateral acceleration sensor 140, a vertical acceleration sensor 136, and a composition speed settlement module 204. A path determination module 208 receives the signal, classifies a collision, and supplies a collision switch 212 with a determination result. A comparator module 224 compares a present value and critical lateral acceleration from the collision switch 212, and a critical addition module 228 generates an additional value when the critical lateral acceleration is smaller than the present value. The path determination module 208 supplies a second collision switch 240 too with the determination results, and changes over the output to critical angular speed. As the result, the additional value is subtracted from the critical angular speed and sharpened critical angular speed is provided. The second comparator module 252 compares the present value and the sharpened critical angular speed and generates deployment signal for operating the restrain device when the present value is larger than the sharpened critical angular speed.
