    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of adhering an optical film having a polarizing film to a rectangular panel.SOLUTION: Provided is a method, by using an optical film laminate with a carrier film, which is made up of an optical film having a thin polarizing film and a carrier film adhered to the optical film via an adhesive layer, of sequentially adhering said optical film laminate to a rectangular panel having a long side and a short side. In the method, a plurality of slits having a depth reaching the adjacent surface of the carrier film from the optical film surface on the opposite side to the carrier film are formed in a width direction of the laminate, at predetermined intervals in a lengthwise direction with respect to the optical film laminate with a carrier film, and a optical film sheet is formed between two slits that are adjacent in the lengthwise direction. While the optical film sheet is peeled off from the carrier film before a position where the sheet is to be laminated to the panel, a front end part in a moving direction of the optical film sheet is held by vacuum suction and overlaid on the panel sent to the laminating position, and the panel and the optical film sheet are adhered via the adhesive layer.
