摘要： A method is provided for cutting an elastomeric laminate (1) that may include a layer of reinforcement cords, into a desired length without cutting through the cords. The method includes the step of cutting through the gum portion (404) of the elastomeric composite material at a desired skive angle (±), and then opening up the skived cut. Next, the cord reinforcement layer is cut without severing the reinforcement cords. An elastomeric composite strip cut to the desired length is produced and has cut ends. One of the cut ends has the gum portion cut at a desired skive angle adjacent an overhang portion of the reinforcement layer. The opposite end of the elastomeric composite segment also has a skived portion to mate with the skived portion of the first cut end, and a gap in the cord ply to mate with the cord overhang of the first end, resulting in a splice.

摘要： PURPOSE:To realize simple manufacture of an assist grip of high quality by interposing conductive material, which operates as an electrode part at the time of welding an overlapped part, between sponge material convering a core material and the overlapped part of a covering piece which covers the sponge material. CONSTITUTION:A sponge material 4a is stuck to the back of a core material 1 made of iron sheet through adhesive agent 7, and further, a covering piece 3a made of thermoplastic synthetic resin is fixed to an auxiliary material 5 positioned in the sponge 4 by means of a stitching part 8. The covering piece 3a is provided so as to cover the outer periphery of the sponge material 4a and an overlapped part (a) is provided in a part of said piece 3a, while a conductive material 9 is interposed between the overlapped part (a) and the sponge material 4a. Further, through turning on high frequency electric current between the upper side electrode 6 of a high frequency welder positioned on both sides of the overlapped part (a) and the conductive material 9 at the time of manufacturing, the overlapped part (a) is thermally welded. The assist grip of high quality can be simply manufactured by this method.

摘要： A label for a container is formed by wrapping a length of label material around a cylindrical mandrel and introducing heat, adhesive or other sealing means into a gap between the leading end portion of the label material and the trailing end portion as the label material is wrapped around the mandrel. The cylindrical sleeve is slid off of the mandrel and telescoped over a container passing thereunder. The container with a cylindrical sleeve therearound is then moved to a heating station which heats the label material, preferably foam polystyrene, to cause it to shrink into conformity with the contour of the container.

摘要： A method produces a connection interface in a tubular filter element for filtering liquids, including a filter mat ( 10 ). The opposite ends ( 14 ) of the filter mat are interconnected in a connection position by a planar weld seam ( 28 ) provided with an embossed strip in the region of the free ends ( 14 ) of the filter mat. A region is provided between the embossed weld seam ( 30 ) and the beginning of the transition towards the tubular filter mats, in which a smooth weld seam ( 32 ) is applied without embossing in a flat strip along the ends ( 14 ) of the filter mat. This arrangement enables the ends of the filter mat to be welded together in a strong and long-lasting manner. The embossed weld seam is simultaneously unloaded of any stress by the smooth weld seam.
