    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum gate valve capable of operating sure and smooth open-close operation without damaging a seal member, excellent in sealing performance, and capable of making whole device compact.
      SOLUTION: This vacuum gate valve is provided with a valve main body having opening passing through two opposing side walls, a valve plate provided inside of the valve main body and opening and closing the opening of the valve main body by moving between a valve close position and a valve open position along a direction roughly in parallel with the opening, and a valve plate drive mechanism moving the valve plate between the valve open position and the valve close position. The valve drive mechanism is provided with a guide rail arranged on one end side of the valve plate, a valve plate hanging member sliding along the guide rail and hanging the valve plate, and a valve plate moving device moving the valve plate between the valve open position and the valve close position by reciprocating the valve plate hanging member along the guide rail.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive gate valve for vacuum of long service life capable of surely performing the sealing in a valve close state, surely performing the valve opening operation by releasing the valve close state, further reducing the abrasion and damage of a seal member, and minimizing the generation of particles.
      SOLUTION: This gate valve for vacuum is constituted to expand an expansion shutoff driving member by supplying the air inside of the expansion shutoff driving member, and to press a valve plate to an opening side to seal and close an opening by the seal member of the valve plate, at a valve close position. The expansion shutoff releasing driving member is expanded by stopping the supply of the air into the expansion shutoff driving member and supplying the air inside of the expansion shutoff releasing driving member, to move the valve plate in the direction to be separated from the opening, and to release a sealed shutoff state of the opening by the seal member of the valve plate.
