    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for delivering a tool horn to a predetermined bonding position, even if an obstacle is present in a periphery of the predetermined bonding position. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic bonding apparatus includes an ultrasonic vibration supply device of supplying ultrasonic vibration in a twisting direction, the tool horn 1 connected to the ultrasonic vibration supply device, and a tool horn elevation device, and is provided with a projection type pressing portion 2 on an edge of the tool horn at a position eccentric with a center axis. The tool horn elevation device presses a wire 4 as an object to be bonded against a metal plate 6 as an object to be bonded as well by the projection type pressing portion formed on the edge of the tool horn, and the ultrasonic vibration supply device places the tool horn in ultrasonic vibration in the twisting direction to swing the projection type pressing portion with respect to the center axis of the tool horn and to rub a surface of the wire pressed by the projection type pressing portion against a surface of the metal plate, thereby bonding both together.
