    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner which allows the deposit attached to an electrode to be removed by discharging operation.SOLUTION: An air cleaner includes a control part which allows a normal discharging operation for cleaning air by streamer discharge in a discharge part and an emergency discharging operation by spark discharge in the discharge part with application of a voltage higher than the voltage in normal discharging operation between both electrodes for removal of the deposit of components in air attached to the electrodes to be performed. The control part regulates the applied voltage to obtain a constant current value between the electrodes. The upper limit of the applied voltage is set at V≥d×1.2, where d represents the distance between both electrodes.
