    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the fault of data transmission at the reorganization time of a region of a data frame. SOLUTION: In a network for transmitting and receiving image data by using a preset image data region in a data packet by each communication device, by relaying the data package including the image data by each communication device by connecting a plurality of communication devices in a ring-like state, when the data packet including the image data is transmitted in the network (second frame, third frame) if the image data region for storing the image data in the data frame is reorganized, a master device sets the image data region at each type of the image data, forms and transmits a command packet including the set image data region (third frame). Each communication device transmits or receives the image data by using the data region included in the command packet from the master device. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use a transmission capacity of an optical transmission path. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a back camera 14 for photographing a rear side of a vehicle to output a photographed image signal, a JPEG encoder 15 for compressing the image signal output from the back camera 14, and a frame number control part 17 for setting the number of frames of the compressed image signal transmitted per a unit time. The frame number control part 17 conducts control to increase the frame number of the image transmitted per the unit time in response to increase of a vehicular speed, based on a vehicular speed data provided by a vehicle speed sensor mounted on the vehicle C. Since the transmission capacity of the optical transmission path 2 is not occupied fully thereby when the vehicle speed is low, other data are allowed to be transmitted so as to use effectively the optical transmission path.
