      SOLUTION: The method for setting the operation condition of the press line includes: a conveyance route setting step (S4) of setting a conveyance route so as to minimize a clearance between a workpiece and a lower die; a phase difference setting step (S7) of setting a phase difference between conveying operations of respective conveyance machines so as to minimize a clearance between a workpiece to be taken-out and a workpiece to be taken-in; and a press-conveyance phase difference setting step (S11) that sets a phase difference between a pressing operation and a conveyance operation in accordance with the conveying route set for each conveyance machine, the phase difference between the conveyance machines, a line SPM, and a press SPM.

When a dedicated mold is replaced to suit for the shape of works, the entire part of the working mechanism 42 need not be replaced.       SOLUTION: The conveying motion preparing method includes: a data reading step (S1); a new lower die interface curve initially setting step (S105) of initially setting a temporary lower die interference curve at the position sufficiently separate above from an existing press line lower die interference curve by using the data on the existing press line lower die interference curve and the data on the conveying condition; and a conveying path setting step (S106) of generating a new lower die interference curve by providing a plurality of control points on the temporary lower die interference curve at a predetermined spacing, and moving the plurality of control points respectively toward the existing press line lower die interference curve so that the plurality of control points have the predetermined minimum clearance from the existing press line lower die interference curve.
