摘要： PURPOSE: To obtain an optical recording and reproducing method, an optical recording and reproducing device and a recording medium with which the recording capacity is made higher than heretofore by using a conventional optical recording and reproducing method as it is. CONSTITUTION: Marks all and a12 recorded by two beams are recorded on both sides of one track in such a state that their respective side edges are held in tight contact with each other (in the state that these part are not parted) or marks b11 and b12 are recorded by respectively partly superposing these marks. The marks a11, a12, b11 and b12 are the marks to impart the changes in the quantity of the reflected light with which the marks are irradiated and the marks a11, b11 record and form the spiral or concentrical information tracks consisting of the arrays intermitted according to the recorded information on the recording medium. The marks a12, b12 are recorded by displacing the marks in the transverse direction of the information tracks according to the recorded information. Two rows of these marks are recorded and formed by using the two beams.

A magnet drum 47 having plural magnetic poles is disposed on a circumference of the pulley 46 rotated by moving the movable casing 2, a magnetic resistance element 51 is disposed in the vicinity of the periphery of the magnet drum 47 to generate a pulse output by the movement of the movable casing 2 and picture information is fetched only when the pulse output is outputted.

On the other hand, the slide plate 32 keeps the state as it is, and since the button 14 is latched to the operation state, the slide plate contacting the head with tape at the operation of the button 14 is not restored not to causing sound by restoration. Accordingly, automatic stop is made with small power and less noise.

Next, the disk case 6 is moved downward by a upward/downward moving means and then the disk D1 is selectively made to be placed on the turntable 61. At this time, the device is miniaturized by setting the distance between center positions of the D1 and a D2 in the case shorter than the diameter of the disk.

Opening means 5, 5a are provided to open the slid lid when the disc cartridge is inserted into a housing 2. A brush 8a is attached to the lid-opening means 5, 5a via a turning lever 8 to be in touch with a surface of a mounting stage 4 of the disc apparatus, so that dusts adhering to the surface of the mounting stage 4 are removed while the mounting stage is rotated. Accordingly, a reproducing operation of a high-density recording disc is not obstructed by the invasion of dusts, and the apparatus is suitably made compact.
