    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser welding quality inspection method and a device therefor capable of performing the quality inspection of laser welding at high precision with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: In laser lap welding, a light receiving apparatus 4 receives laser reflected light 1b from a boundary wall face between a keyhole 6 formed at the laser irradiation position 5 of the metal 2 to be welded and a molten pool formed on the backside in the welding progression direction of the keyhole 6, i.e., the tip wall face 7 of the molten pool. The change in the intensity of the laser reflected light 1b from the tip wall face 7 of the molten pool by the back and forth movement thereof expresses whether the welding quality is good or bad at high precision. The light receiving apparatus 4 detects the change in the intensity of the laser reflected light 1b, and a processor 11 analyzes the same and determines whether the welding quality is good or bad. The light receiving apparatus 4 has a constitution where light is received from the front slanting upper part of the welding progression direction, and a spectral structure is made needless.
