    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device capable of suppressing the thermodecomposition of ammonia when heating a heated member provided in an exhaust system for an engine with chemical heat storage using the ammonia.SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control device 1 includes an oxidation catalyst 4 disposed in an exhaust pipe 3 formed of a magnetic substance, and reactors 8 for heating the oxidation catalyst 4 with chemical heat storage using ammonia. The reactors 8 are arranged around the exhaust pipe 3 and divided into a plurality of ones. The outer face of each reactor 8 is formed of a magnetic substance. A coil 15 is wound on the outer face of each reactor 8, and an external power supply 16 is connected to each coil 15 for supplying voltage thereto. Normally, each reactor 8 is being isolated from the outer peripheral face of the exhaust pipe 3. When the external power supply 16 is turned on, current flows in each coil 15 to generate electromagnetic force in each reactor 8. By the electromagnetic force, each reactor 8 is attracted to (put in contact with) the outer peripheral face of the exhaust pipe 3.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device capable of suppressing the thermodecomposition of ammonia, in the case of heating an exhaust catalyst with chemical heat storage using the ammonia (NH).SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control device 1 includes an oxidation catalyst 4 arranged in an exhaust pipe 3, and a reactor 8 arranged around the exhaust pipe 3 in a cross-section semi-ring shape for heating the oxidation catalyst 4 with chemical reaction between ammonia and a heat storage material 16. The oxidation catalyst 4 consists of: a cross-section semi-circular catalyst region 13 which is formed of a honeycomb base material 12 to support a catalyst material and where exhaust gas flows; and a cross-section semi-circular wall-shape region 14 which is formed in a wall shape and where the exhaust gas does not flow. The exhaust emission control device 1 further includes: a rotation mechanism for rotating the oxidation catalyst 4; and a motor. The oxidation catalyst 4 has the catalyst region 13 normally located on a side of the reactor 8. When a temperature of the exhaust gas is a predetermined value or higher, the oxidation catalyst 4 is half-rotated to put the catalyst region 13 into the state of being located on the opposite side of the reactor 8.
