    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device which efficiently diffuses the heat of a light-emitting diode by a simple structure.SOLUTION: A light-emitting deice includes: a substrate; a plurality of first light-emitting units disposed on a first straight line on the substrate; a plurality of second light-emitting units disposed on a second straight line separated from the first straight line and parallel with the first straight line on the substrate, and having a different luminescent color from the first light-emitting units; and a plurality of third light-emitting units disposed on a third straight line separated from the first and second straight lines and parallel with the first and second straight lines on the substrate, and having a different luminescent color from the first and second light-emitting units. A distance between the light-emitting units having the same luminescent color is larger than the minimum distance between the light-emitting units having different luminescent colors.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red light-emitting phosphor that has high luminous efficiency when excited with near ultraviolet light and excellent color purity of luminescent color, and a color image display using the same. SOLUTION: The phosphor is obtained when a matrix represented by ARS 2 , wherein A is at least one of Na, K and Rb, and R is at least one of Y, Gd and Lu, is doped with 0.003-0.3 mol% of Bi and 0.1-3 mol% of Mn.
