    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric steering lock device capable of improving reliability of lock release position maintenance of a lock bar and capable of reducing size and cost. SOLUTION: In this electric steering lock device 10, the lock bar 28 is maintained in the lock release position by a cam 24 and a locking lever 66 in a state that locking of a steering shaft 36 is released. Thus, locking of rotation of the steering shaft 36 can be surely prevented when the vehicle travels. In a state where the locking is released, on the other hand, maintenance of the lock bar 28 by a tip 26 of the cam 24 is released when the cam 24 is rotated to an arrow CCW direction by a motor 12. When the cam 24 is further rotated to the arrow CCW direction, the locking lever 66 is moved to an arrow B direction by the tip 26 of the cam 24, and is maintained.
