    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily drain dew condensation water on a glass wall which becomes an exterior wall of a building by effectively utilizing a gasket sealing between glass plates to be connected in a watertight manner and simplifying a configuration.
      SOLUTION: An abutting seal face 3 is formed on an outer face of the gasket 2 for watertight sealing provided along an end fringe of the glass 1, and a channel 4 is formed over the whole length of the gasket 2 on the abutting seal face 3. The abutting seal faces 3, 3 of the gaskets 2, 2 between the glasses 1 and 1 to be connected are brought into pressure-contact, and a water drain channel 5 is formed in the opposing channels 4, 4. An introduction passage 6 passing through from an indoor face of the gasket 2 on one side to the water drain channel 5 to introduce dew condensation water on an indoor face side of the glass 1 is formed. A water drain means 7 for draining dew condensation water introduced into the water drain channel 5 to the outside is communicated with the water drain channel 5.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily join a gasket formed by the integral extrusion of a rubber magnet and a holder.
      SOLUTION: This gasket joining method is constituted by butting the end parts of gaskets, each of which is obtained by extrusion in a state that a magnet mainly comprising a rubber is covered with the thermoplastic resin holder, to mutually join them and includes an arranging process for arranging a thermoplastic resin sheet between the mutual end parts of both gaskets, a heating process for heating the end parts of both gaskets and the sheet and a welding process for mutually pressing the end parts of both gaskets to weld them. Further, in the arranging process, a first heater is arranged between the first surface of the sheet and the end part of the first gasket while a second heater is arranged between the second surface of the sheet and the second gasket. In the heating process, the end parts of both gaskets and the sheet are heated in this state and, in the welding process, the heaters are removed after heating to mutually press the end parts of both gaskets.
