    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability while conducting sufficiently deep engagement. SOLUTION: In the connection structure of roof boards 6, in which connecting pieces 7, 7 are folded back to the underside sides at both end sections, a dainage member 2, in which a drain gutter 1 is formed in the eave ridge direction in a U-shaped sectional form, is arranged on a roof foundation 10. A fixing body 4 is fixed onto the roof foundation 10 on one side of the drainage member 2. A movable body 5 is installed to the fixing body 4 in a freely approachable and separable manner while holding the drainage member 2. A drawing means 21 moving the movable body 5 by the revolution of a screw is mounted. A vertical piece 22 abutted against the side wall of the drainage member 2 and latching pieces 23 latching the connecting pieces 7 are formed to each of the fixing body 4 and the movable body 5. The movable body 5 is drawn near to the fixing body 4 side by the drawing means 21, and the connecting pieces 7 are latched by the latching pieces 23 while the vertical piece 22 is abutted against the side wall of the drainage member 2.

    • PURPOSE:To avoid thermal deformation in a connecting place, avoid leakage of water to an attic, and heighten workability by making thermal expansion and thermal contraction easily allowable in the eaves ridge direction while carrying out stable connection in connection of roof materials. CONSTITUTION:A connection member 4 extending over the full length in the eaves ridge direction is fixed in a connecting place between roof materials 2a and 2b in roof backing 1. The roof material placing parts 5 and 5 are formed on the connecting member 4. The parts 6 and 6 to be connected of the end parts of the roof materials 2a and 2b are placed on the roof material placing parts 5 and 5. A short piece-shape connecting metal fitting 7 is erected between both these parts 6a and 6 to be connected. The connecting metal fitting 7 is installed on the connecting member 4 by an installing means 8. The parts 6 and 6 to be connected of the roof materials 2a and 2b are sandwiched by the connecting metal fitting 7 and the connecting member 4. The connecting member 4 is slidably pressed and held in the eaves ridge direction by presser metal fittings 33... on both width directional sides.

    • PURPOSE:To secure qualitatively excellent characteristic by joining a discard material on the side titanium layer of a titanium-clad plain steel slab and removing the discard material after hot rolling. CONSTITUTION:A base material is taken as, for example, a plain steel contg. >=0.08wt.% C. The titanium-clad plain steel slab is formed by joining this base material and titanium as a cladding by an explosive welding method. After hot rolling the composite material of the titanium-clad plain steel which is the discard material joined on the side of he titanium layer of this slab, the material is removed with scale. With this discard material, the generation of an oxide film and hard layer due to oxygen intrusion into titanium before hot rolling and at the time of hot rolling the composite material is prevented. And, after removing the discard material, cold rolling is executed. Plain steel is desirable as this discard material and 5% Cr-steel, low alloy steel contg. Si, etc., are adopted. Hot rolling is executed at >=800 deg.C of a solution heat treatment temp. In this way, burdens of equipment and finance are reduced.
