    • PURPOSE:To make vibration compelling force very small by enabling an inside slot member to axially slide in relation to an outside guide slot and intercepting axial vibration compelling force, which is caused by frictional force, inside a joint. CONSTITUTION:An axial relative displacement between an inside axial member 13 and an outside axial member 15 shows that a roller 14 rolls along the cylindrical inside guide slot 16a of an inside slot member 16 as the roller 14 is rolling around a trunnion axis 12. And it is allowed with very small slide friction that the inside slot member 16 slides through a low frictional means 18 along the outside guide slot 15a of an outside axial member 15. Accordingly, vibration compelling force in the direction of an outside axial member which is caused by frictional force produced between the trunnion axis 12 and the roller 14 is intercepted by a slide with low friction between the inside slot member 16 and the outside axial member 15, and the vibration compelling force output in the outside of a joint becomes very small.

    • PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the accuracy of fabrication, by subjecting the outer surface of a partially fabricated outer cylindrical article formed to have a wall thickness greater than that of the final article, to a cold-working process with a drawing rate of 5-30% with respect to the outer diameter of the outer peripheral section thereof while the outer peripherals section of the article is bound after being subjected to a shot blasting process. CONSTITUTION:After a partially fabricated article of outer cylinder of an equi- speed joint is subjected to a shot-blasting process with the use of shots having a particle size of 0.8-2.4mm, the equipped joint cylinder is subjected to a cold- working process with a drawing rate of 5-30% with respect to the outer diameter of cup section of the cylinder while its outer peripheral section is bound. Therefore, due to the combination of the particle size of shots in the shot blasting process and the drawing rate in the cold working process, a roller groove having a specified surface roughness may be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of compelling force by alternately offsetting the center position of width of each window of a cage with respect to the uniform motion bisection plane by half the clearance between the width of window and a ball. CONSTITUTION:Six cage windows 11 for retaining balls are disposed on a cage 10. A plane 12 passing the center of the inner and outer spherical surfaces to divide the cage 10 into right and left equal parts forms a uniform motion bisection plane. The center position of width W of each window 11 is offset alternately with respect to the uniform motion bisection plane 12 by (e) half the clearance (d) between the width of window and the balls. Accordingly, at the time of torque load, each ball can be disposed on the uniform motion bisection plane to satisfy the conditions of the uniform joint and prevent the generation of compelling force.
