    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the reducing rate of a nozzle hole are caused by sticking of deposit, and remove the stuck deposit while suppressing the secular change of an injection rate by forming the axial direction length of the nozzle hole shorter than the diameter of the nozzle hole. SOLUTION: In a fuel injection valve for an in-cylinder injection formed in such a constitution that nozzle hole 1 is faced to the inside of a combustion chamber 2 of an internal combustion engine and fuel is injected and supplied into the combustion chamber directly, the axial direction length of the nozzle hole 1 is formed shorter than the diameter of the nozzle hole 1. Namely, the nozzle hole 1 is formed at the lower end of a nozzle 11 arranged on the lower part of a fuel injection valve, and a shoulder part 14 having an angle larger than the shaft of the nozzle hole 1 is formed at a part to which a nozzle chamber 13 and the nozzle hole 1 are connected, and the shoulder part 14 is formed so as to form a large angle near a right angle to the inner circumferential wall of the nozzle hole 1. The deposit sticking layer is divided into a layer of the deposit stuck on the inner circumferential wall of the nozzle hole 1 and a layer of the deposit stuck on the inner circumferential wall of the nozzle chamber 13 so as to suppress growth.
