CONSTITUTION:In an air blast valve, a needle valve shaft 2 is moved against a return spring 9 by exciting a solenoid 6, and a needle valve 5 at the top of the valve shaft 2 is separated from a nozzle port 4. And to the unit main body 1, a fuel injection valve 15 to inject the fuel into a compressed air passage 16 is provided. In this case, at the upper stream side end of the compressed air passage 16, a check valve 19 which consists of a ball 17, a spring 18, and the like is provided, and when this valve is operated, a compressed air including the fuel is led to a canister or the like. And inside the main body 1, a pressure accumulation chamber 20 is formed around the valve shaft 2, and it is linked to the compressed air passage 16. And the needle valve 5 is opened even at the final period of the compression stroke of the engine, and the compressed air in the combustion chamber is led in and accumulated in the pressure accumulation chamber 20.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the desirable atomization of fuel injected at least at the latter half part by setting the valve closing timing of a fuel injection valve at the earlier timing than the valve closing timing of a switching valve for controlling the switch of a nozzle hole formed at one end of a compressed air passage and at the later timing than the valve opening timing of this switching valve. CONSTITUTION:In an air-blast valve 6 for jetting fuel together with compressed air toward inside a combustion chamber 4, the valve body 14 of a switching valve 13 opens a nozzle hole 12 through a movable core 16 when a solenoid 17 is energized. The compressed air from a compressed air passage 21 and fuel injected from the nozzle hole 26 of a fuel injection valve 25 are thereby mixed with each other in a compressed air passage 19 and injected into the combustion chamber 4 from the nozzle hole 12. In this case, the valve closing timing of the fuel injection valve 25 is set to the earlier timing than the valve closing timing of the switching valve 13 and to the later timing than the valve opening timing of the switching valve 13 by the time part approximately equal to the time required for the fuel injected from the fuel injection valve 25 to be carried to the nozzle hole 12 by compressed air flow.

    • PURPOSE:To start injection from fuel injection valves using an electric charge charged in a capacitor with small capacity. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of first fuel injection valves and a plurality of second fuel injection valves are provided. When a required injection amount is less than a set amount determined in advance, fuel is injected only from the first fuel injection valves, while the fuel is injected both from the first fuel injection valves and the second fuel injection valves when the required injection amount is more than the set amount. A fuel control device is provided with a capacitor 25 charged by a DC-DC converter 20, supplies an electric charge charged in the capacitor 25 to coils L1 and L2 for driving the first fuel injection valves so as to start fuel injection from the first fuel injection valves and then, keeps on exciting the coils L1 and L2 for driving the first fuel injection valves by a voltage of a battery 23 to continue fuel injection action. Fuel injection by the second fuel injection valves is started by the voltage of the battery 23.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain totally inclined fuel injection to the axial line of a switching valve when the particle diameter of fuel injection injected from an air blast valve is small, and fuel injection along the axial line of the switching valve when the particle diameter of fuel injection injected from the air blast valve is large. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle opening 15 of an air blast valve 10 is provided with a valve seat 17 which expands approximately conically outwards to the edge surface of the air blast valve 10. The valve body 18 of a switching valve 16 is placed at the valve seat 17. The top edge 17a of the valve seat 17 is formed, inclining to the axial line A of the switching valve 16. There is formed injection air flow 27 whose injection angle becomes smaller gradually as it moves from an outmost part 17c to the inmost part 17b of the valve seat top edge 17a. Namely, there is formed injection air flow 27 which inclines to the shaft line A of the switching valve 16. When the particle diameter of fuel injection injected from the nozzle opening 15 is small, it moves on injection air flow 27, and when the particle diameter of fuel injection is large, it does not move on injection air flow 27.
