摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for mounting screw fastening parts capable of preventing a foreign matter such as chips produced at the screw fastening parts from entering fluid flow passages within first and second parts when both first and second parts are fastened together by threadable engagement of the external thread part of the second part with the internal thread part of the first part. SOLUTION: The external thread part 29 formed in a check valve 19 is threadably engaged with the internal thread part 23 formed in a mounting hole 22 in a pump housing 12, to fasten both parts together. The first flow passage 18 for fluid within the pump housing 12 is thereby connected with a second flow passage 30 for fluid inside the check valve 19. A gasket 31 is disposed between the peripheral edge of the opening of the mounting hole 22 and the outer periphery of the rear end of the external thread part 29 of the check valve 19. A partitioning member 32 for partitioning the screw fastening parts of the internal thread part 23 and the external thread part 29 from both flow passages 18 and 30 is interposed between the front end of the check valve 19 and the inner bottom face 22a of the mounting hole 22.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure pump capable of accurately adjusting the discharge of fluid by preventing changes in leaks caused by the sliding movement of a plunger. SOLUTION: The high pressure fuel pump 11 comprises a cylinder 13 having a slide hole 13a therein, the plunger 17 reciprocatiusly and slidably fitted into the slide hole 13a, a pressurization chamber 14 defined by the cylinder 13 and the plunger 17, and a solenoid spill valve 25 for opening and closing the pressurization chamber 14. The amount of fuel delivered is adjusted through control of the timing of opening and closing of the solenoid spill valve 25. The plunger 17 is fitted into the slide hole in such a manner that even if the plunger 17 is in the most lowered position where it has moved in the direction to recede most from the pressurization chamber 14 within its reciprocating sliding range, its fitting end 17a projects beyond the slide hole 13a toward the pressurization chamber 14.

SOLUTION: A plunger 17 reciprocably and slidably fitted into a cylinder 13 is driven by a lifter 18 and the volume of the pressurization chamber 14 is varied by the reciprocating motion of the plunger 17 to pressurize fuel. The lip part 31 of the seal member 28 is formed with an upper lip 31a and a lower lip 31b separated from each other in the direction of the stroke of the plunger 17 and the outer peripheral surface of the plunger 17 is sealed by both lips 31a and 31b to prevent fuel leaking from the pressurization chamber 14 from mixing with the lubricating oil for lubricating the lifter 18. The lip-to-lip distance S1 between the upper lip 31a and lower lip 31b of the lip part 31 is set to be greater than the stroke S2 of the plunger 17.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure pump and an assembled structure of the pump capable of preventing distortion of sealing surfaces and a cylinder shape by reducing the initial axial tension of a tightening bolt. SOLUTION: The center area 40a of the tightening bolt 40 is exposed throughout its periphery. Because of this, the tightening force of the tightening bolt 40 acts on a cover 6 and a flange 8 as a bending stress in the direction for bringing peripheral edges 6a and 8a close together, and an elastic modulus becomes smaller. Thus, even in the event of dimensional changes such as the expansion and contraction of each component of the high pressure fuel pump 2 or permanent setting of tightening faces between the components due to temperature changes, changes in axial tension of the tightening bolt 40 also become smaller. Therefore, even if the initial axial tension of the tightening bolt 40 is made relatively low, sufficient axial tension to cope with dimensional changes of each component of the pump 2 after manufacture can be produced. The sealing surfaces between the components and the shape of the cylinder 4a can thus be prevented from being distorted.

SOLUTION: A second fuel inlet port 3b is provided in the flange 3 (fixed core), and a notch section 6a is provided in the sliding section where the valve element 6 and the valve hole 9a slide with each other for forming the fuel passage. Through this constitution, the foreign matters going into the solenoid valve 1 and the abrasion powder product in the valve 1 are quickly discharged out of the valve 1 passing through the fuel passage together with fuel without retaining near the sliding section of the valve element 6 and the valve hole 9a. Since such deficiency as interference of the motion of the valve element 6 caused by the fixing of foreign matters to the sliding section of the valve element 6 and the acceleration of wearing of the valve element 6 due to foreign matters can be prevented, therefore, the highly reliable solenoid valve 1 can be provided.

The seal member 28 joins with a mounting member 19 separated from the cylinder 13, and the mounting member 19 is passed through the plunger 17 and is tightened to the cylinder 13 and thereby mounted in a position outside the cylinder 13.

SOLUTION: A cylindrical holder part 24 has a fuel passage therein and accommodates a compression coil spring 28 for energizing a check valve element 27 in the direction to abut on a valve seat 29. A cylinder part 25 is formed to have an outside diameter about equal to the inside diameter of a body side mounting press-in hole 14 and has an axial hole 30 therein. The holder part 24 has a flange 26 capable of abutting and being welded to the outer wall of a pump body 11. To mount the check valve to the pump body 11, the cylinder part 25 of the check valve is pressed into a pump side mounting press-in hole 14 to facilitate mounting of the check valve 21 to the pump body 11. In this case, a connection made by pressing-in alone or by both pressing-in and welding can be used.
