摘要： PURPOSE:To increase ability of capture-absorbing fuel or the like by using an organic high molecule, which has nature of dissolving or swelling in fuel further with good heat resistance, as an absorbing agent for capturing the fuel or the like received in a trapper vessel such as a canister. CONSTITUTION:An automobile canister 1 is formed of a granular absorbing agent 2 and a main unit 10 which is a vessel for housing this absorbing agent 2, and in the main unit 10, the first and second introducing pipes 13, 14 and a purge pipe 16 are fixed to 4 cover unit 11, provided in the upper end of the main unit 10, with a point end part 141 of the second introducing pipe 14 inserted to a position in the vicinity of the center of the main unit 10. Here as the absorbing agent 2, an organic high molecule, having nature of dissolving or swelling in fuel further with good heat resistance, for instance, polycarbonate resin, acrylic resin, ABS resin, acetal resin, etc., is used. This absorbing agent is formed in a shape with a diameter or thickness in about 3mm or less so that absorption is advanced to the center part.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of absorbing performance of activated carbon in the case where a liquid content in vaporized fuel is absorbed to the activated carbon, and prevent a polymeric absorbent from being filled excessively during traveling of an automobile. CONSTITUTION:A lower chamber 34 is disposed under an activated carbon chamber 11. A polymer chamber 12 filled with an organic polymeric absorbent 5 is divided into a plurality of division chambers 121-125. An introducing pipe 15 for introducing vaporized fuel and a purge pipe 16 are connected to a first space chamber 31 disposed above the polymer chamber 12. A third space chamber 33 for sucking the atmosphere is provided above the activated carbon chamber 11, and is connected to an atmosphere pipe 17. The lower chamber 34 is communicated with a second space chamber 32 in the lower portion. The shallow filling depth of the polymeric absorbent 5 can prevent the polymeric absorbent 5 from being filled excessively. Consequently, the polymeric absorbent can be freely swelled, thereby enhancing absorbing performance of the polymer chamber.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make the size of an evaporative fuel treatment device smaller by making liquid evaporative fuel absorbed into an organic macromolecular absorbent in a macromolecule chamber while making only gas thereof adsorbent activated carbon, thereby eliminating degradation of evaporative fuel capturing performance due to the adsorption of the liquid on activated carbon. CONSTITUTION:An activated carbon chamber 11 filled with acitivated carbon 4 is provided under a macromolecule chamber 12 loaded with organic macromolecular absorbents 5 (e.g. polypropylene). And an admitting pipe 15 for admitting evaporative fuel and a purge pipe 16 are connected to a first space 31 provided above the chamber 12. A third space 33 for admitting the atmosphere is provided above the chamber 11 and an atmosphere pipe 17 is connected to the space 33. Further, a communication pipe 36 is interconnected between a second space 32 and a fourth space 35 under the chamber 11. As a result, liquid of evaporative fuel is absorbed into the absorbents 5 in the chamber 12, while only gas thereof is adsorbed on the activated carbon, whereby degradation of evaporative fuel capturing performance due to the adsorption of liquid on activated carbon can be avoided, thereby reducing the size of an evaporative fuel treatment device.

摘要： PURPOSE:To ensure a regularly normal purge action by forming an active charcoal chamber on an upper part and a liquid separating chamber in which a mat holding a liquid absorbing agent is charged on a lower part, and forming an opening part opened into the mat and an opening part opened in a determined position on the mat in a purge passage. CONSTITUTION:A canister body 2 is partitioned by partitioning plates 3, 4 into three chamber layers to form an air chamber 5 communicated with the outside air in the top part. The middle part is an active charcoal chamber 7, in which an active charcoal 8 is charged, and in a liquid separating chamber 11 in the bottom part, a plurality of mats 12 containing an organic polymer compound 13 are received in laminated state. A vapor passage 15 and a purge passage 16 are extended through the active charcoal chamber 7 and opened to the liquid separating chamber 11, and the purge passage 16 has a main opening part 17 formed on the lower end part and a bypass 18 formed in the space above the mat 12 close to the partitioning plate 4. Thus, even if the air resistance to the main opening part 17 is increased by the swelling of the organic polymer, the opening state of the bypass hole 18 can be maintained to keep the purge normal.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a flow changeover valve with a simple structure and a low cost which can make purge adjustmeal so that no great amount of evaporated fuel may enter into an engine intake pipe. CONSTITUTION:A changeover valve body 3 is installed between an absorption chamber 21 filled with organic polymeric gel 4 and a space chamber 22. The absorption chamber 21 is comminucated with a fuel tank 9 and the space chamber 22 is comminucated with an engine intake pipe 5 through plural purge ports 271-273. When the organic polymeric gel 4 absorbs a great amount of evaporated fuel, the changeover valve body 3 is pushed by the expansion force so that a part of purge ports can be closed. Therefore, in purge operation, the flow rate of purge air becomes smaller and no great amount of separated and evaporated fuel flows into the engine intake pipe 5 from the organic polymeric gel 4. When the absorption amount of the evaporated fuel is small, an expansion amount is small and many purge ports are opened.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve both the catching ability for evaporated fuel and the fuel evaporation preventing effect by piling absorbers for trapping evaporated fuel, of both organic high polymer material which is solved into evaporated fuel or swells therewith and activated carbon in this order. CONSTITUTION:Gasoline steam evaporated inside a carburetor float chamber 81 or a fuel tank 82 is carried into a canister 1 by a plurality of introduction pipes 13 and 14. Some of the gasoline steam is first exposed to organic high polymer material 20 inside a primary suction chamber 2 to be absorbed. The remaining gasoline steam which has not absorbed is then absorbed by activated carbon 30 inside a secondary suction chamber 3. On the other hand air is fed from a purge air pipe 13 and exhaust gas is discharged from a purging pipe 18 into a purge port 85, whereby refreshing the absorbers 20 and 30. As a result the trapping ability for evaporated fuel may be improved.

The end part 34 is formed by the flowing of the second resin material through the tip of the tubular body 24 when the barrier layer 30 is injection molded on a surface of the joint body 20, and improves the adhesive force of a bonded end face 20b.
