摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copper tube which is excellent in corrosion resistance and on the inner surface of which is uniform covering layer is formed by depositing Zn on the inner surface of the copper tube, and heating the copper tube to diffuse Zn and to form a Cu-Zn alloy layer on the inner surface of the copper tube. SOLUTION: A wire 2 in which at least its surface is made of Zn is inserted in a copper tube 1, and each end of the wire 2 is passed through cap holes 3a, 3a in caps 3, 3 as a means to fix the wire 2 so as not to be brought into contact with an inner surface of the copper tube 1. Then, the copper tube 1 is heated to evaporate Zn of the surface of the wire 2, and the deposited Zn is adhered to the inner surface of the copper tube 1. Finally, Zn deposited on the inner surface of the copper tube 1 is diffused to obtain a highly corrosion- resistant copper tube on the inner surface of which a Cu-Zn alloy layer is formed. The Zn concentration in the Cu-Zn alloy layer is >=38wt.%, preferably >=40wt.%.

As a result, the formation of the aggregate structure is restricted, the anisotropy of the material after working is reduced, the metallic bar for the lead frame is rolled effectively and normally. On the lead frame manufactured of such metallic material, the anisotropy can be restricted, the crack at stamping is prevented and the fine workability is improved, further, the crack or strain at packaging can be prevented.
