    • PURPOSE:To perfectly detect an obstacle for whether or not it is present in a railroad crossing by forming in the railroad crossing a protective bordering wall of slit light by each horizontal and vertical projector further photographing a picture of the protective bordering wall by a television camera while recording and discriminating the picture. CONSTITUTION:An obstacle detecting device A is set up approaching a road 11 crossing a railroad crossing of single line railroad 10a. Here the obstacle detecting device A mounts to its pillar 20 respectively horizontal and vertical projectors 21, 22 generating slit light and a television camera 23. And a protective bordering wall is formed by horizontal and vertical slit lights respectively projected from each projector 21, 22. While the device A takes a picture of the protective bordering wall by the television camera 23 while discriminates the taken picture by a discriminating device 24. Further being based on the discriminated picture, an informing device 13a is actuated by an alarm signal generating device 25. Thus, an obstacle is perfectly detected for whether or not it is present in the railroad crossing.

    • PURPOSE:To perform well-balanced regenerative braking control, by adjusting for control so that the armature current of each rolling stock may be the same value of armature current. CONSTITUTION:A function generator 11 outputs the limited value corresponding to the stringing voltage. A limiter device 14 limits the braking force command value outputted from a braking force command device 6 so as not to exceed the value of the function generator 11. A subtractor 16 supplies the deviation DELTAI in the current detected value from the braking force command value to a separately excited field winding 2 through an amplifier 17. A control device 5 of a driver's stand performs the operation to find the difference between the armature current i1-in of each rolling stock and the current average value, on which the braking force command value of each rolling stock is adjusted. Thus, the current unbalance in regenerative braking is avoided and the regenerative efficiency can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To attain accurate reading by reading out image information based upon a compared result with an image between an image outputted when an object is illuminated with light and an image outputted when the object is not illuminated. CONSTITUTION:When a detection pulse is outputted from a stop detector 20, a control device 11 opens a gate 26 to transfer an image picked up by a CCD camera 2 to an image memory 24. The control device CTR 11 closes the gate 26 to driven an infrared-ray irradiating device 3 and then opens a gate 27. A train 1 is irradiated with infrared rays from a device 3 and the CCD camera 2 picks up the image of a portion on which a train number irradiated with infrared rays is written. The image is transferred from the camera 22 to an image memory 25 through the gate 27. After completing the transfer, the CTR 11 closes the gate 27 and opens gates 28, 29. The image data respectively stored in the image memories 24, 25 are applied to a difference image memory 30, which finds out the difference value of lightness between corresponding picture elements in both the images and stores the value.

A train operation past performance sensing part 13 due to a follower train position sensor, a presumed departure time entering part 14 for the foregoing train 3 due to the station 1, and a control parameter reading part 15 with the parameter table accommodation part 12 are connected, wherein a speed control output part 16 to make the train speed control is connected with the control parameter reading part 15.
