    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a biaxially oriented polyimide film which shows superb stretching stability in a gel stretching process.
      SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the biaxially oriented polyimide film comprises the following steps (1) to (4). (1) A polyamic acid solution is prepared by making an aromatic diamine component and an aromatic tetracarboxylic acid component react with each other in an organic polar solvent. (2) The obtained polyamic acid solution is cast over a support and soaked in an isoimidized solution obtained by dissolving a dehydrating agent in an organic solvent together with the support and thereby, a gel film composed of the polyamic acid, at least a part of which is converted to a polyisoimide, is formed. (3) The obtained gel film is separated from the support and biaxially oriented after cleaning, if necessary. (4) The obtained biaxially oriented gel film is thermally treated to obtain the biaxially oriented polyimide film after cleaning, if necessary. The dehydrating agent used in the step (2) is a diisopropylcarbodiimide.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing the subject elastomer, by which the elastomer having a high molecular weight is produced in a short time in good reproducibility by adding a specific compound to a specific polyester elastomer, and reacting the obtained mixture under melting. SOLUTION: (B) A bis(epsilon-caprolactam)-based compound of the formula in an amount of 0.01-10% is added to (A) a polyester elastomer consisting essentially of an elastomer consisting of (i) a hard segment comprising an aromatic polyester component and (ii) a soft segment comprising a poly(oxyalkyleneoxide) glycol component having 500-5, 000 number average molecular weight, regulated so that the content of the component (ii) may be 30-95 wt.% and having 0.3-10 intrinsic viscosity (IV), and the obtained mixture is reacted preferably at 180-300 deg.C preferably under a reduced pressure in a molten state preferably for 30 sec to one hour to provide the objective polyester elastomer in the method for producing the polyester elastomer.
