    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide overall print having a respectable appearance, when print ing the substrate surface of a card-type CD, and to satisfy functions required of the card-type CD. SOLUTION: A drive hole 12 for centering to a drive table is formed in the center of a substrate 11 of a card-type CD 10, with a prescribed depth x from the side of a laser light irradiated face 15. An annular digital information signal pattern 14 is provided in the substrate on the side of print face 13 in the outer periphery of the drive hole 12. Since the drive hole 12 is formed only on the laser light irradiated face 15 side, a print face opposite to the irradiated face 15 is made flat throughout. Therefore, full-surface print on the print face 13 made possible, and together with restrictions on print being removed beautiful appearance is also obtained. When the effective depth x of the drive hole 12 is within the range of 0.60 to 1.15 mm, the clamp means of a current drive device can be used as it is.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in properties of a coupling agent film formed in order to enhance the adhesion of a photoresist layer to a glass substrate at the time of forming a glass master disk for an optical disk. CONSTITUTION:An aq. coupling agent soln. is applied on a glass substrate in a stage S2 after foreign matter, such as particulate, is removed by prewashing the glass substrate in a stage S1. The excess coupling agent is removed by executing the post washing of the glass substrate in a stage S3. The glass substrate is pulled up from the liquid held at a low temp. and is dried in a stage S4. Since the drying is executed at the low temp., the deterioration in the properties of the coupling agent film is prevented. The coupling agent film is subjected to a baking treatment in a stage S5 and a photoresist layer is formed thereon in a stage S6. Since there is no deterioration in the properties of the coupling agent film, the photoresist film securely and tightly adheres to the coupling agent film. Finally, the photoresist layer is subjected to exposing and development processing in a stage S7, by which the glass master disk for the optical disk is formed.
