    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a reproduction characteristic of a wobbled groove and a characteristic of a fluctuation amount of a push-pull signal satisfactory by suppressing a height change in a land part at the time of manufacturing an optical disk stamper. SOLUTION: An EOM (electro optic modulator) 15, a photodetector (PD) 16 and a light output control part (APC (auto power controller)) 17 make exposure per unit area of a laser beam emitted from a laser source 14 for oscillating a recording laser beam of quartic harmonic (λ=266 nm) of a YAG laser to be constant. An acousto-optic modulation deflector 22 optically deflects the laser beam and then is made incident on a beam expander (BEX) 26. Since the acousto-optic modulation deflector 22 forms respective wobbled grooves for a BCA (burs cutting area) area, a PIC (permanent information & control data) area and a data recording area, a record beam is deflected.     • PURPOSE:To remove dust and dirt of an organic matter, etc., adhering on a surface without using 'Freon(R)' by making the cleaning process of a glass master disk or a stamper steam cleaning. CONSTITUTION:In the case of producing the stamper for an optical disk, the water is cleaned and heated by a heater 2, circulated through a pipe 4 by a pump 5, and the glass master disk is put in a cleaning tank 1 where vapor is generated and subject to vapor on the surface of the disk for a fixed time. When the vapor adheres to the surface of the glass master disk, it is condensed into waterdrops and drops down with the dust and the organic matter, etc., adhering to the surface, so that the dust and the organic matter, etc., which is not removed perfectly by ultrasonic cleaning, is removed. By cooling the disk slowly after cleaning, the surface is naturally dried. Thus, cleaning and drying processes by 'Freon(R)', which causes a problem from the aspect of the protection of an ozon layer, are not needed and the glass master disk and the stamper are cleaned and dried.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the higher density of a disk by making the formation of grooves narrow in width possible. SOLUTION: A laser beam is subjected to intensity modulation by an EOM 12 and is made incident on a modulation optical system 15. The light output of the laser beam transmitted through the EOM 12 is stabilized by an APC 14. The light beam is condensed to the AOM 16 and is continuously modulated by a DC signal. The exposure beam emitted from the modulation optical system 15 is made incident on an AOD 20, is subjected to optical deflection, is reflected by a mirror M2 and is made incident on a polarization beam splitter PBS. The beam reflected by the polarization beam splitter PBS is guided through a lens L3 and a mirror M3 to an objective lens 24 and is condensed onto a photoresist film 26 by the objective lens 24. A photoresist film having a high gamma characteristic is used as the photoresist film 26.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in properties of a coupling agent film formed in order to enhance the adhesion of a photoresist layer to a glass substrate at the time of forming a glass master disk for an optical disk. CONSTITUTION:An aq. coupling agent soln. is applied on a glass substrate in a stage S2 after foreign matter, such as particulate, is removed by prewashing the glass substrate in a stage S1. The excess coupling agent is removed by executing the post washing of the glass substrate in a stage S3. The glass substrate is pulled up from the liquid held at a low temp. and is dried in a stage S4. Since the drying is executed at the low temp., the deterioration in the properties of the coupling agent film is prevented. The coupling agent film is subjected to a baking treatment in a stage S5 and a photoresist layer is formed thereon in a stage S6. Since there is no deterioration in the properties of the coupling agent film, the photoresist film securely and tightly adheres to the coupling agent film. Finally, the photoresist layer is subjected to exposing and development processing in a stage S7, by which the glass master disk for the optical disk is formed.
