    • PURPOSE:To constitute a small-sized, lightweight single-core optical connector, to eliminate abrasive deformation, and to compensate even eccentricity by providing plugs which have insertion parts and flange parts, a cylindrical adapter, and a clamper which mutually clamps and fixes the flange parts of the plugs. CONSTITUTION:This connector is equipped with the plugs 20a and 20b which have the optical fiber insertion parts 23 made of ceramic and the flange parts 24 made of metal or plastic, the cylindrical adapter 21 into which the plugs are inserted from both ends, and the clamper 25 which mutually clamps and fixes the flange parts 24 of the plugs 20a and 20b inserted into the adapter 21. The flange surfaces of the collar parts 24 are formed in a polygonal shape and displays of the eccentricity direction of an optical fiber are provided on the surfaces of the flange parts 24. In this case, the plugs 20a and 20b are inserted into the adapter 21 from both ends and an optical fiber 22 is connected, so the metal and ceramic come into slide contact with each other and metal is hardly produced by wearing. Thus, the small-sized, lightweight constitution is realized, no abrasion waste is produced, and the eccentricity can be compensated while the loss is reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To modulate a luminous signal in the midst of proceeding in an optical fiber on the way of the optical fiber by forcedly adding an external force to the optical fiber supported by a supporting mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A contact 3 which proceeds to the supporting mechanism 2 side by means of a driving mechanism 4 is made to be in contact with the optical fiber 1 supported by the supporting mechanism 2 and adds bending to the optical fiber 1 and the contact 3 which recedes from the supporting mechanism 2 side removes the bending added to the optical fiber 1. When the curved surface of the contact 3 presses the optical fiber 1, the bending of quantity in which a part of the luminous signal in the midst of proceeding in the optical fiber 1 is leaked out of the optical fiber 1 is added to the optical fiber 1. Thus, attenuation is added to and removed from the luminous signal in the midst of proceeding in the optical fiber 1 in case of adding the bending and not adding the bending to the optical fiber 1 and amplitude modulation is added to the luminous signal. Now, the luminous signal in the optical fiber 1, which is modulated by the supporting mechanism 2, the contact 3 and the driving mechanism 4 is leaked to the outside in a bended part 5 and detected by a detector 6.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the work efficiency by inserting a linear body into an anchoring metal fitting which is made of a plurality of spiral parts being arranged in the shape of multiple thread having inner diameter a little smaller than the outside diameter of the linear body to be anchored, and sticking the linear body and the spiral parts fast to each other thereby anchoring the linear body. CONSTITUTION:An anchoring metal fitting 10 is constituted by turning back a belt-shaped elastic metallic body 12 at the center of the length toward the top, and making two streaks of spiral parts 11 into the shape of multiple thread having inside diameter a little smaller than the outside diameter of a linear body A. The linear body A and the spiral part 11 are stuck fast to each other by inserting and pressing the linear body A into the spiral part 11 of this anchoring metal fitting 10 so as to anchor the linear body A. This anchoring method is one for making the anchoring metal fitting 10 by making beforehand time spiral part 11 in the shape of multiple thread having inside diameter a little smaller than the outside diameter of the linear body A to be anchored, and then, inserting the linear body A into this, and the work efficiency improves remarkably.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the cable sheath from slipping out by providing a projecting part on a holding metallic fixture of the cable sheath, and gripping it by allowing the projecting part to bite into the cable sheath. CONSTITUTION:A connector ferrule 2 for coupling an optical fiber is contained, and a connector housing 3 to be attached and detached is provided. Also, on the inside peripheral surface of a holding metallic fixture 6 formed in a terminal part of the connector housing 3, a triangular projecting part 61 is provided, the projecting part 61 is allowed to bite into a cable sheath 13 and it is gripped. As for height of the projecting part 61, when it becomes too high, the optical fiber 11 is damaged, and on the other hand, when it is low, the cable sheath 13 is dram out, therefore, about 1/4 of thickness of the cable sheath is desirable. That is, the projecting part 61 bites into the cable sheath 13 with prescribed width on the whole peripheral surface and in the axial direction of the fiber cable 1, and the cable sheath 13 is gripped, therefore, sufficient gripping force is obtained.
