    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determination means for determining whether or not a user is operating a control component in a control area, and to improve the operability of a user interface by modifying waiting time according to the result of the determination.
      SOLUTION: A display screen updating method (device) updates a display screen using a GUI of a computer, which is provided with at least a processing part and a display part, at regular intervals with prescribed waiting time, determines whether or not the user is operating a control component in the control area on the GUI screen, and modifies the waiting time of an updating process of the display screen so as to be long when determined that the user is operating the control area.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the convenience of synchronous measurement, and to suppress synchronism-related deviations.
      SOLUTION: This synchronous measuring system is composed of a measuring signal output device 1, which outputs a measuring signal whose predetermined predicate changes at each moment to a substance to be measured X; and a measuring terminal 2, which is provided being separated from the output device 1, and measures the characteristic of the substance X, by acquiring a response signal obtained from the substance X in response to the measuring signal being synchronized with the output timing of the measuring signal in the output device 1. The output device 1 provides the attribute of the signal to the measuring terminal 2, along with output-side information on time representing normal time of the output timing of the measuring signal. The measuring terminal 2 acquires each response signal successively along with receiving-side information on time representing the normal time, forms and displays a measuring image representing a measuring result by causing each response signal of the output-side information on time and a signal predicate of the receiving-side information on time, which represent identical normal time to be made to correspond mutually.
