    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an execution of working by locating the damaged portion of a pile due to an earthquake or the like, and then inserting a reinforcing material in the hole of the pile, and fixing it at the damaged portion. SOLUTION: The reinforcing material 4 is formed by a metal pipe 5 capable of being added in the longitudinal direction and an expandable material 6 arranged therearound. In the hollow foundation pile 1, its cracked portion 3 is located, a working space is given at the ground around the pile head portion. Then, the reinforcing material 4 is hung down by wire 10 and inserted in the hole 1a, followed by being positioned at the cracked portion 3. Furthermore, as the wire is fixed and the reinforcing material 4 is held at its position, the expandable material 6 absorbs moisture to swell so that the reinforcing material 4 is fixed to the hole wall. In the case of a small strength, it is available that mortar 7 is filled in the pipe 5, and also mortar or the like is filled between the pipe 5 and the hole wall of the pile 1. In this manner, mending can be done at a small working space without requiring great working; still further mending can be worked to damages having an appropriate depth.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To investigate the soundness of a foundation pile objectively and quantitatively by a method wherein a conductive wire material whose electric resistance value is changed by the history of a load or a strain is buried in the inside of the foundation pile constructed in the ground from its upper end part up to its lower end part in such a way that both end parts of it are pulled out from the upper end part of the foundation pile. SOLUTION: Four conductive cables 2 are buried in a foundation pile 1 at equal intervals in the circumferential direction of a cross section along reinforcing bars or the like in concrete constituting a pile body 1a in such a way that they are extended respectively in parallel with the axial line of the foundation pile 1. The conductive cables 2A, 2B and those 2C, 2D which are faced so as to sandwich the central axial line of the foundation pile 1 are connected to each other at the lower end part of the foundation pile 1 so as to form a U-shape, and both end parts are pulled out from the upper end part of the foundation pile 1. When an earthquake occurs so as to fracture the conductive cables 2A, 2B or those 2C, 2D, an electric resistance value is increased remarkably, and their fracture can be judged. In addition, their fracture can be judged by a change in an electric resistance value due to the damage of a carbon fiber due to a load or a strain acting on the foundation pile 1.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the investigation of a sound property of an underground concrete structure by providing a hole for investigating its sound property in the underground concrete structure which is constructed in the ground. SOLUTION: A hole 5 which is extended from a pile head 1a to a tip part 1b of a pile is formed by core boring, for example, in a foundation pile 1 of placing concrete pile. Next, if the pile 1 is destructed due to earthquake, an inner peripheral wall face of the hole 5 is investigated by using a non-destruction check method to investigate the sound properties of the pile 1. Then, if a repair and reinforcement are required, filler such as mortar is poured into a damaged part through the inner peripheral wall face of the hole 5. Filler having lower strength than a concrete part 3 is filled in the hole 5 as required and is removed by boring when its sound property is investigated. Furthermore, a hole in which filler is filled and a hole in which filler is no not filled coexist, and the hole in which filler is not filled is used in monitoring of quality control with age. Consequently, it is possible to investigate and repair speedily and simply at low cost.
