    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an innovative composite machining machine including an automatic pivoting composite turret device, capable of being compactly designed at low cost, and configured such that transmission/release of rotative power to a rotating tool is automatically switched by switching indexing/locking fixation of a turret.SOLUTION: A composite machining machine includes: a common use motor 9 as a driving source of a rotary drive mechanism 7 for transmitting a rotative power to a rotating tool 5 and a turning driving mechanism 8 for turning a turret 3. Transmission of the rotative power of the common use motor 9 is released when the turret 3 is made turnable to the rotary drive mechanism 7 by sliding the turret 3 along a turning shaft part 2 and releasing locking fixation of a clutch device 4. Alternatively, the rotative power of the common use motor 9 is transmitted when the clutch device 4 is locked and fixed by sliding back the turret 3 at an indexing position of the turret 3. Thus, the composite machining machine is provided with a clutch movement interlocking type rotative power transmission/release switching mechanism 10 in which the rotating tool 5 is rotated.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cooling a lathe-machining tool in an NC lathe which attains cooling action equal to that of wet machining by means of the vaporization heat cooling of water, and is excellent that efficient cooling is performed while suppressing an increase in costs and a rust or corrosion problem does not occur.SOLUTION: A method for cooling a lathe-machining tool in a NC lathe is provided in which alkaline ionized water is injected toward a cutting edge 2 of the lathe-machining tool 1 from a nozzle 3 and the injected water is evaporated by heat to be generated in lathe machining to cool the cutting edge 2 by means of the heat of the evaporation. The proper amount of the water to be injected is preset according to a lath machining condition or controlled automatically in machining. The on/off-control of water injection is conducted on the basis of the NC information of an NC control part 5, or the detection of a water injection on/off-detection part for detecting a lathe machining start time when the lathe-machining tool 1 is contacted with a workpiece 6 and the lathe machining stop time when the lathe-machining tool is parted from the workpiece. The proper (small) amount of the alkaline ionized water 4 is injected spottedly toward the cutting edge 2 in lathe machining.
