    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mechanical arresting disk brake having a simple structure by integrally forming an adjusting bolt and a piston, and capable of releasing a mechanical arresting lever smoothly.SOLUTION: The mechanical arresting disk brake is premised that includes: the adjusting bolt 3 attached to the operation portion 2 side of a caliper body 1; the piston 4 provided at the tip end of the adjusting bolt 3; and friction pads 6, 7 at the operation portion 2 side and the reaction portion 8 side allowing sliding contact on both sides of a disk rotor 5 by the movement of the piston 4 to the disk rotor 5 side. By forming the adjusting bolt 3 and the piston 4 integrally and by fitting and arranging the tip end of the piston 4 to a circular connection portion formed on a back plate 24 structuring the back surfaces of the friction pads 6, 7 via a C clip 23, the friction pad 6 and the piston 4 are connected rotatably independently to each other.
