    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce in the potential rise of a transformer container itself due to a high-frequency surge by directly connecting the low-pressure side of the primary coil of a transformer body to a connection line without through the transformer container. SOLUTION: In a transformer 1 for a gas insulated instrument, a ground terminal plate 19 is provided at a bottom part 6a in the terminal box 6 by electrically insulating from a terminal box 6 and a transformer container 2 by an insulator 18. The low-voltage side of the primary coil of a transformer body airtightly passes through the side wall of the transformer container 2 through a bushing 8 for leading to the outside, at the same time, passes through the bottom plate 6a of the terminal box 6 for introducing into the terminal box 6, and is electrically connected to the ground terminal plate 19 in the terminal box 6 via a grounding wire 9. The ground terminal plate 19 is grounded to a ground wire 12. Then, a gap-fixing plate 20 is fixed to the ground terminal plate 19, and a pair of gap formation electrodes 21 for suppressing the increase in the potential of the ground wire 12 is placed on the gap-fixing plate 20.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress secondary overcurrent without using a fuse by connecting an overcurrent suppressing impedance, which has such property that the resistance value becomes small when the current in a secondary winding is not more than a rated value, and that the resistance value goes up sharply by temperature rise when the current exceeds the rated value, in series to the secondary winding. CONSTITUTION:An overcurrent suppressing impedance 5 is connected in series to a secondary winding 2. The overcurrent suppressing impedance 5 has such a property that the resistance value becomes small when the current in the secondary winding 2 is not more that the rated value and that it sharply increases by temperature rise when the current in the secondary winding 2 exceeds the set value set larger than the rated value. Moreover, this overcurrent suppressing impedance 5 is constituted of an object where a parallel resistor being constituted by connecting a temperature sensing resistor element and a fixed resistor element with each other in parallel is connected in series.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent entrance of the external air into an exclusive tank even in case a pressure tank is opened, by providing an exclusive tank having a hermetically sealed structure which is resistive to a little pressure difference and valves communicating with internal and external sides and also providing a gas insulated potential transformer. CONSTITUTION:A gas insulated potential transformer 3 is previously filled with insulation gas and is stored under the condition that an automatic valve 7 is closed. At the time of assembling, the transformer 3 is housed together with an exclusive tank 2 within a pressure tank 1. After the assembling of interior, the tank 1 undergoes sealing, vacuum exhaustion and supply of gas. Namely, in the case of vacuum exhaustion, the valve 7 operates and opens depending on a pressure difference between internal and external pressure. Therefore, an excessive pressure difference is not applied on the tank 2. For the supply of gas, the valve 7 operates and opens depending on the pressure difference when the tank 1 is filled with the insulation gas, the insulation gas flows into the tank 2 from the tank 1, not generating an excessive pressure difference. Thereby, the transformer 3 holds initial insulation performance and it is enough for the tank 2 to have the sealed structure which is resistive to an internal and external pressure difference of about 0.3-0.4kg/cm .
