    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber holder capable of easily performing single-batch fusion connection by quickly aligning a plurality of single-core coated optical fibers and holding the aligned state, and to provide a single-batch fusion connection method that uses the same. SOLUTION: The optical fiber holder which holds the plurality of single-core coated optical fibers, by arranging them in parallel, is provided with a base stand 1 having an optical fiber alignment groove 5; and a coated optical fiber aligning cover 2, having a pressing member 6 which is openably arranged above the optical fiber alignment groove 5 and presses the coated optical fibers, wherein the optical fiber alignment groove 5 has such a shape as to gradually narrow the width of the top end side, and the pressing member 6 has the shape provided with such a level difference that a gap with the optical fiber alignment groove 5 becomes smaller on the top-end side. In addition, the optical fiber holder can be made into a constitution, having a coated optical fiber fixing member 8 or an adhesive tape, in order to align and hold the plurality of coated optical fibers.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To be able to easily and efficiently install a new cable by supporting an existing cable by a suspension wire.SOLUTION: A wiring tool 10 is attached slidably to an existing cable 4 supported by a suspension wire 3 by using a cable ring 5. The wiring tool 10 includes: a cross-section arc-shaped lap part 11 slidable so as to embrace the existing cable 4; and a main body 12 obtained by arranging three outwardly curved rods 15 so as to form a triangular cross-section and connecting both ends of the rods. A lead 17 is provided in a connector 16 at a rear end of the main body 12. The lap part 11 is made of a synthetic resin so as to be opened at its lower-end slit and elastically deformed. In the main body 12, the two rods 15 in contact with the existing cable 4 are positioned in the base portion of the triangle. The main body 12 is provided with a first guide member 20 and a second guide member 21 swingable and differ in length and rigidity on both sides of the suspension wire 3. Traveling of the wiring tool 10 is guided by holding the suspension wire 3 by the first and second guide members 20 and 21 so that the wiring tool 10 travels beyond the cable ring 5.
