    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the need of opening a cover once, releasing a hold for a coated optical fiber, and then moving an optical fiber, when the coated optical fiber is moved longitudinally along a groove for placing an optical fiber, in an optical fiber holder composed of a base in which the groove is formed on the surface and a cover with which the grooved surface of the base is covered in a manner freely opened/closed. SOLUTION: The optical fiber holder is characterized in that the cover is closed, the rear of the cover is formed so as to form a prescribed gap from the base. and the cover of the rear is pushed in so as to narrow the gap, so that the front of the cover is raised. Consequently, a holding force is reduced which holds the coated optical fiber in the groove, enabling only a necessary coated optical fiber to be freely moved longitudinally along the groove, with the cover closed.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for separating multi-core optical fiber tape in which the multi-core optical fiber tape is pulled out, easily separated, and the separating length of the multi-core optical fiber tape is easily adjustable. SOLUTION: The apparatus for separating multi-core optical fiber tape includes: a pair of side walls; a plurality of parallel guide rails fixed and bridging both side walls; a pair of clamping bases which can slide and be fixed on the guide rails; and single core separating tool base which slides on the guide rails between the pair of clamping bases. The pair of clamping bases are provided with an optical fiber clamping part which clamps the multi-core optical fiber tape, the single core separating tool base is provided with a single core separating tool which separates the the multi-core optical fiber tape clamped with the optical fiber clamping part into single core optical fibers, and an engaging piece suspending from the upper part of a closure frame is arranged at the upper part of the pair of side walls.
