That is, the additive 13 is configured such that one edge thereof is exposed to the surface of the coating layer 12 and the other edge thereof is in contact with the surface of an inner plate 11.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder head gasket that ensures good sealing property and high heat conductivity.SOLUTION: A cylinder head gasket 1 comprises: gasket substrates 3, 5, 6 which are held between a cylinder head 2 and a cylinder block 4; and a metal plate 7 having high heat transfer performance and provided on the gasket substrates so as to surround a combustion chamber 8. On the metal plate 7, a full bead 7A is formed which surrounds the combustion chamber 8. The metal plate is designed to have a hardness of Hv200 or more and a heat conductivity of 100w/m k or more. Thus, since the metal plate 7 has a high heat conductivity of 100w/m k or more, heat within the combustion chamber can be efficiently released. Since the full bead 7A is formed in the metal plate 7 and the hardness of the metal plate 7 is Hv200 or more, good sealing property can be maintained for a long time with settling of the full bead 7A prevented.

SOLUTION: A first and a second full beads 2a, 3a projecting toward a third seal plate 4 at a center are provided on a first seal plate 2 and a second seal plate 3 comprising a cylinder head gasket 1, and the first and the second full beads 2a, 3a construct an adhesion part 8 strongly adheres on the third seal plate 4 and sealing combustion gas. The third seal plate 4 is provided with a hemming part 10. A space 9 is formed by the hemming part 10 and the adhesion part 8. A slit 10a providing communication between a combustion chamber hole 5 and the space 9 is provided on the hemming part 10. When combustion gas flows in the space 9 via the slit 10a, the first seal plate 2 and the third seal plate 4 are pressed in a vertical direction by self sealing effect.
