摘要： PURPOSE:To attain very surely collision detection in any collision phase by transmitting an output of a 1B2B coding circuit while converting it into a pulse having an occupancy rate less than 100% at a transmitter side and providing two comparison circuits having a threshold value above and under the midpoint level of an output waveform of a PR converting circuit at the reception. CONSTITUTION:An output of a 1B2B coding circuit 2 is sent via an occupancy factor converting circuit 21 converting it into a pulse below 100% of occupancy rate at the transmitter 1. The 1st comparator circuit 12 having a threshold value between a high level and a midpoint level of an output of a filter having a transmission characteristic of sinpif/2f0 for 1B2B code and the 2nd comparison circuit 22 having a threshold value between the midpoint level and a lower level are provided. Thus, the deterioration of generation rate of a code violation pattern is prevented due to collision phase and sure collision detection at any collision phase is attained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To expand the range of a received optical signal level possible for detecting collision detection by connecting an analog delay line to a drive circuit having a larger output impedance than the characteristic impedance of the said analog delay line. CONSTITUTION:A filter 25 having a transmission characteristic of sinpif/2f0 to a received 1B, 2B code is constituted by the analog delay line 19 and the drive circuit 2 having a larger output impedance than the characteristic impedance Z0 of the analog delay line 19. Then a midpoint level '0' and a DC balance point at an output of the filter 25 are made coincident so that the midpoint level '0' is not fluctuated depending on the received optical signal level. Thus, the collision detection is operated at a received optical signal level over a wide range.

摘要： PURPOSE:To confirm a high-order fault section from a low-order network coupler and to speed up the restoration of a fault by discriminating the presence or absence of a receiving carrier detection during the fault locating packet transmittion with a fault locating device and whether the timing in which the receiving carrier is turned off is present before the completion of the trouble searching packet or present after it. CONSTITUTION:On a fault locating system, a high-order network star coupler 20, a low-order class star coupler 6 and a bidirectional repeater 11 are arranged, and a fault locating device 42 is connected to the star coupler 6 by a low-order network incoming fiber 5 and a low-order network fiber 31. From a fault locating packet generating device 43 of the device 42, a fault locating packet is inputted to a transmitter 44 for locating a fault and the packet of a wavelength lambda2 is outputted to the fiber 5 by a light-emitting element 43. The locating packet is repeated through the coupler 6 to a high-order network with the repeater 11 and the output to the low-order network is interrupted by a repeating side control part 16. A packet length supervising controller 47 detects the duration after the specified time from the reception starting of a low-order network side receiver 13 and confirms the fault section.

CONSTITUTION:A high pass filter 22 consists of a resistor 23 and a capacitor 24. Further, the high pass filter 22 and partial response 1, -1 filter 1 are connected by a buffer amplifier 25 whose input impedance is a high impedance and whose output impedance is equal to a characteristic impedance of the analog delay line 14. A midpoint 0 level included in an output of the partial response 1, -1 filter 11 is kept to a prescribed valve even when the received light level is changed by using the high pass filter having a required characteristic and inserted to the pre-stage of the partial response 1, -1 filter 11. Thus, the received light level range possible for collision detection is expanded.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a sample-and-hold circuit follow immediately a rise of input to actuate and to make the output level of the circuit hold accurately for a long time even if a mark rate on input data is greatly fluctuated by a method wherein a light intensity control device is provided with an amplifier, which receives the output of the sample-and-hold circuit and controls the luminous level of a light-emitting element which corresponds to marks or spaces of input. SOLUTION: In the case where a sample-and-hold control signal is significant in a first sample-and-hold control circuit 15, that is, in the case where a light output is '1' in mark, a current is led from a first sample-and-hold circuit 12 in the circuit 15 and the circuit 12 is put in a sample mode. That is, the circuit 12 abruptly follows an input. In the case where the light output is '0' in space, the lead-in of the current is stopped from the circuit 12 and the circuit 12 is put in a hold mode. The time constant of the circuit 12 at that time is generally set in a large time constant and the output of the circuit 12 is held constant for a long time.

Further, the level detecting circuit 5 consists of a bipolar converting circuit which inputs the amplifier output in the opposite polarity state at need and obtains a ternary output and plural level detectors which detects the level of the prescribed part of the ternary conversion output of the converting circuit output.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the fluctuation in the bias point of an EA modulator by a photocurrent regardless of the output light intensity of the light outputted from a light source laser diode by providing a driving circuit with an optical means, voltage impressing means, voltage value detecting means, comparing means and voltage control means. SOLUTION: A comparing amplifier circuit 8 amplifiers the difference between the peak voltage detected by a peak detecting circuit 5 and a GND level (0V). The difference between the peak value of a high-speed electric signal transmission line 4 and the GND level is inputted from the circuit 8 to the positive input of the operational amplifier 9a of a current sucking out circuit 9. A negative power source voltage is applied via a resistor 9b to the negative input of the amplifier 9a. Then, if the peak voltage value of the transmission path 4 increases from 0V, the output of the amplifier 9a eventually increases and the transistor 9c sucks out the current from the transmission line 4 according to the increase in the output of the amplifier 9a, thereby acting to lower the peak value of the voltage impressed on the EA modulator 2. As a result, the flowing of the photocurrent into a terminal resistor 3 is prevented.
