摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the labor of retrieval/input by retrieving a required program from a program list and reading out a bar code or the like corresponding to the retrieved program. CONSTITUTION:The bar code of a required program is read out by a bar code reader 14. The read bar code is sent from terminal side line terminating equipment 81 through a network 7 and transmitted up to a center control device 2 through a line terminating equipment in a center device 1. The number of a file medium recording the program and the leading position of the medium are converted from the start time, end time and channel number of the program and the converted information is transmitted to a library device 3. The corresponding file medium is retrieved and set up in an undriven reader 4 to start the reproducing of image information. In this case, the image information is outputted to a video monitor 11 of a terminal 91 or the like by a switch 5 through any one of the line terminating equipments, the network 7 and a line terminating equipment 81.

The scene start frame number corresponding to the next scene is recognized and the frame is extracted from the information for the normal speed reproduction. The controller 12 detects a frame of a reproduced picture from the disk 15 and allows one VTR to be in standby at a preceding point of time from a progress point of a reproduction frame of the picture from the disk 15. When the reproduction frame reaches from the disk 15 up to a point of time while the VTR is in standby, the input of the switch 14 is selected from the output of the disk 15 to the output of the VTR.
