Now, station 41, when to communicate with station 42, adds B a message to be sent out of station 41 and A' to an answer from station 42. To a message to be sent out of station 42, A is appended and to an answer from station 42, B' is added. Consequently, even if stations 41 and 42, and 42 and 43 start communication at the same time, messages addressed to respective stations are separable and the communication can be carried out without contradiction. Further, even when stations 41 and 42 start communication with stations 42 and 41, the communication can be attained independently. Therefore, each station can have communication efficiently without interference from other stations.

CONSTITUTION:The driving element groups D1-Dm and D1'-Dm' are connected to both the ends of the driving lines l1-lM of the tablet, also the sense switch groups S1-Sn and S1'-Sn' are connected to both the ends of the sense lines l1'-lN' in the same way, and the address circuit 18 generates the address of the input pen 14 by the output of the detection circuit, by setting the control circuit 11 by which any two are selected out of the driving elements and the sense switches which have been connected to both the ends of the aforesaid driving line and the sense line, respectively, indicating an optional position of the above-mentioned tablet with the input pen 14 consisting of a magnetic body or a conductor, amplifying the electromotive force inducing to the sense loop by the detection circuit, and detecting that the input pen 14 has indicated the optional position.

CONSTITUTION:To the reverse surfaces of characters on board 10, light emitting elements 20 are provided. Further, this device is equipped with Chinese-character code memory circuit 14 where a code equivalent to a Chinese character assigned in the past is stored and display control circuit 15 which lights light emitting element 20 at a character position corresponding to the Chinese-character stored in mermoy circuit 14. Now, when position 21 of a desired input character is indicated by input pen 18, detection control circuit 13 generates the code of the assigned character and a strobe signal to a computer. Only Chinese-character codes among character codes are srored in memory circuit 14. In a read state, light emitting element 20 at a position equivalent to the read Chinese character code is lighted by display control circuit 15.

    • PURPOSE:To increase the reliability and the durability as well as the operational performance with a miniature size for the character input device, by using the electromagnetic coupling type input pen. CONSTITUTION:Control circuit 11 controls driving circuit 12 to select sequentially the optional adjacent two lines among driving line groups d1-dm of the tablet and then to supply (13) the driving pulse current. At the same time, circuit 11 controls sensor switch 14 to select sequentially the adjacent two lines among detection line groups S1-Sn as well as to generate the voltage proportional to the time change of the driving pulse current via the electromagnetic induction. On the other hand, the desired position is indicated by data input pen 15, and the detection voltage is supplied to the selected sense line pair only when the desired part is pressed. In this case, the magnetic substance of pen 15 increases the mutual inductance between the driving coil and the detection coil. Thus, the signal featuring the phase error of 90 deg. is detected (16), and phase detection 17 is carried out when the detected signal exceeds the threshold level. And then the address is generated (18). In this way, the character corresponding to the positions pressed by pen 15 is supplied.
