    • PURPOSE:To simultaneously perform dust-proof remedy and cooling by opening a mechanically unnecessary part of a strut of a right side surface of a brushless DC motor as much as possible for air cooling and providing a metal net. CONSTITUTION:An outer rotor type direct drive type motor has a sensor 20 and an encoder 12 disposed outside a strut 2 of one side surface thereof to improve an allowable temperature limit in the motor, and an opening 9 provided partly at a strut 3 of the other side surface thereof. A metal net 10 is provided on the surface to prevent invasion of large dusts, etc. An L-shaped sectional ring 23 is attached to a cylinder 21 between a U-shaped sectional ring 22 fixed to a yoke 1 and the cylinder 21 fixed by teeth 5 and a winding 8 to prevent invasion of dusts. Surfaces 19 of inner space of the opening 9 are covered with resin for preventing deterioration of insulation due to moisture, etc. As a result, direct cooling and dust-proof remedy can be simultaneously executed.

    • PURPOSE: To achieve a heat-resisting compact structure of detecting coil itself by inputting the outputs of respective adders into function converters, obtaining the estimated value of the level based on a predetermined regression model, and compensating for the effect of the fluctuation of the distance between a mold and a detector. CONSTITUTION: When molten steel is poured into a mold and the surface level rises up, the DC signal corresponding to only the change in surface level is obtained in the output of an adder 4a. At the same time, the DC signal, wherein the surface-level signal is superimposed on the component of the signal formed in the mold, is obtained in the output of an adder 4b. The output signals of these two adders 4a and 4b are inputted into a function converter 6a. The converter 6a performs the estimation operation of the surface level by regression operation based on two signals outputted from the adders 4a and 4b. As a result, the value of the surface level, wherein the effect of the fluctuation of the distance dm between a detector S and the mold is compensated, is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate fluctuation of commutation timing due to load current by detecting the rotary position of a rotor based on detection of sinusoidal gap formed between a fixed member and a rotary member. CONSTITUTION:An approximately annular rotary member 11 is fixed to a tubular yoke 1 constituting an outer rotor. Furthermore, a fixed disc member 12 is fixed to the supporting shaft 8 of an inner stator 6 and two gap sensors 9a, 9b are fixed with 9d electric angle to the circumferential face of the fixed member 12. The inner face of the rotary member 11 is waved, and when the rotary member 11 rotates together with the yoke 1 the length of gap between the end face of the gap sensor 9 and the inner face of the rotary member 11 varies sinusoidally. Consequently, when one is Sintheta the other is Costheta. Sintheta and Costheta output waves from the gap sensors 9a, 9b and phase control amount alphaare fed to a three-phase commutation signal generating circuit 16 and three- phase commutation signal shown by the formula is produced.

    • PURPOSE:To measure flow rate and direction of molten metal, along with the level thereof, highly accurately by blocking a hollow cylindrical rod made of a heat resistant ceramic at one end thereof and detecting buoyancy through a pressure detector provided at the other end thereof. CONSTITUTION:A hollow cylindrical rod K made of a heat resistant ceramic has one blocked end and the other end provided with a pressure sensor. Buoyancy transmitted from the hollow cylindrical rod K to the pressure sensor surface is detected at a pressure detecting section E. Detection signal front the pressure detecting section E is fed to an operation processing section 13 where level is corrected for the density of various members to be detected and flow rate/direction is operated. The hollow cylindrical rod k is mainly composed of boron nitride which eliminates adhesion of base metal, eliminates initial stress opening and increases resistance against the force being applied laterally on a pressure transmitting rod, and thereby the hollow cylindrical rod is constructed such that the initial pressure of the pressure sensor can be set in the vicinity of maximum allowable pressure. A plurality of pressure sensors are disposed on the plane for detecting external pressure in order to compensate for pressure shift through addition of sensor outputs while furthermore vector sum operation is compensated for by the molten level thus allowing detection of flow rate/direction.
