    • PURPOSE: To secure the neat appearances neat and improve the workability in erection by a method wherein the outer diameter of a cable is made uniform by making the thickness of corrosion preventive sheathings covering strands different from one another when the strands for bearing mechanical strength for suspension are different from one another in the outer diameter. CONSTITUTION: The thickness for each of the corrosion preventive sheathings 6A-6C is determined in accordance with the maximum outer diameter of a strand 4a constructed of a plurality of wires 4, and the sheathing is made by extruding resin material to surround the strand 4a. The resin material to be used in extrusion of the sheathing must be of polyethylene or fluorocarbon resin, and the sheathing must be made in the outer diameter the same as a cable made by covering the strand 4a with the corrosion preventive sheathings 6A-6C. Parting agent 7, selected out of those higher in melting point than the resin material forming the corrosion preventive sheathings, is applied to parts between the corrosion preventive sheathings 6A and 6B, and 6B and 6C for preventing heat sealing from occurring to each of the sheathings. Thereby, the outer diameter of the cable can be made uniform, improving the appearances of the cable after erection while improving the workability in erection by virtue of simplification of erection clamps, vibration control clamps, vibration control dampers, etc.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the increase in transmission loss by addition of a tension exceeding an allowable range to an optical cable and crushing of the optical cable by setting the outer diameter of the optical cable to not more than the tangent of a triplex CV cable (CVT cable) and setting the stranding pitch of the CVT cable and the optical cable to a specified value or less. SOLUTION: The outer diameter of an optical cable 2 is set to not more than the CVT tangent of a CVT cable 1, and the stranding pitch of the CVT cable 1 and the optical cable 2 is set to 20 times or less the layer core diameter of the CVT cable 1. One to three optical cables are arranged in three stranded valley parts formed in the CVT cable. In the manufacture and laying of an optical composite CVT cable, prevention of the excessive tension of the optical cable and the crushing by falling of the optical cable between the CVT cable wire cores are prevented. When the stranding pitch of the cable is excessively small, some fear for the economic property and characteristic is entertained.
