    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite cable capable of preventing both the unfastening of a cable end from a connector and the occurrence of the bending distortion of an optical fiber for both the expansion and shrinkage of an overall sheath.
      SOLUTION: The composite cable comprises a stranded wire that is a strand of a plurality of insulated conductors each which are insulation-coated, and an optical fiber ribbon composed of a plurality of parallel-arranged optical fibers where the stranded wire and the optical fiber ribbon are covered by the overall sheath in a bundle. The composite cable has a deterrent that is positioned at the outer side of the stranded wire and the optical fiber ribbon which are arranged in parallel along the width direction of the overall sheath to deter the expansion and shrinkage of the overall sheath. Furthermore, the composite cable has a bonding jacket between the deterrent and the overall sheath to adhere the deterrent to the overall sheath.

      SOLUTION: A guide hole 4 for guiding an optical fiber is composed of: an optical fiber insertion hole 6 which is formed in one end of a ferrule 3 and which allows the optical fiber to be inserted into the ferrule 3; a light incident/exiting hole 5 which is formed on the other end of the ferrule 3, has a bore smaller than the optical fiber insertion hole 6, and receives and emits light on the end face 2 of the other end of the ferrule 3; and a shape changing hole 7 which is arranged between the optical fiber insertion hole 6 and the light incident/exiting hole 5, which changes the shape so that the bore gradually becomes smaller toward the light incident/exiting hole 5 and which connects the optical fiber insertion hole 6 and the light incident/exiting hole 5 each other. The shape changing hole 7 changes the shape so that the center axis of the light incident/exiting hole 5 may be shifted in the direction of restricting the optical fiber relative to the center axis of the optical fiber insertion hole 6.

The inner coating layer 7 has a Young's modulus (E2) lower than the Young's modulus (E1) of the coating layer 5 and the Young's modulus (E3) of the outer coating layer 8.
