    • PURPOSE:To simultaneously execute the electrification and the cooling of the strip in a tank by connecting an electrode in the liquid to an electrifying roll with the busbar when the strip is fed into the tank filled with the conductive liquid through the electrifying roll and the transformer, and forming a secondary winding. CONSTITUTION:A strip 1 is passed an electrifying roll 12 through a looper 11, and passed through a core of a transformer 13 in a heating furnace 18, and then, the advancing direction is changed by a device 14, and the strip is guided into a tank 15 filled with the conductive liquid (acid liquid or the like). An electrifying electrode 16 is provided close to the strip 1 in the tank 15, and connection is made to the electrifying roll 12 with a busbar 17 to form the secondary winding of the transformer 13, and the AC current is applied. This constitution allows the strip 1 to be heated by the electrification in the tank 15, and executes the cooling by forcible flow of the conductive liquid, and feeds the strip to a cleaning tank 19.

    • PURPOSE:To expedite the response of strip temp. by performing forcing in order to correct the calculated value of the rate of transfer of heat between hearth rolls and the strip at the changing of the target temp. and the like of the heating or cooling furnace of a continuous annealing furnace. CONSTITUTION:While a strip 1 is transferred by the revolution of hearth rolls 5 of a continuous annealing furnace 2, it is heated or cooled continuously. At the changing of the target temp., thickness, and speed of the strip 1 of the furnace outlet, the quantity of heat corresponding to the rate of heat transfer between the rolls 5 and the strip 1 is calculated, and in order to correct this, forcing is carried out by using the quantity of heating or cooling. For example, at the changing of the target temp. of the strip 1, C1 is the strip temp. at the zone inlet C2, C2' are the temps. of the rolls 5, C3, C3' are the strip temps. at the zone outlet, C4 is the flow rate of fuel when the effect of the rolls 5 is not considered, and C5 is then forcing rate of the flow rate of fuel when said effect is considered. The C2, C3 and the C2', C3' are respectively the case when the forcing is carried out and when it is not and the time for setting at the target temp. of the strip is improved from about 11min to about 1min.
