    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a baffle member capable of securing ventilation performance between a crankcase and an oil pan, and capable of restraining an increase in a driving loss of an internal combustion engine.
      SOLUTION: In an internal combustion engine 10 having the crankcase 13 for storing a crankshaft 16 connected with a piston 14 via a connecting rod 15 and the oil pan 20 for storing lubricating oil, the baffle member 30 is arranged under the crankshaft. The baffle member 30 includes: a plurality of floating members 31 arranged over the substantial whole surface of an oil surface 21 of the oil pan 20 and formed of a construction material smaller in a specific gravity than the lubricating oil; a frame body 32 arranged so as to enclose the whole floating member 31 from the outside; a connecting member 33 for connecting the floating member 31 in a mutually movable state in the frame body 32; and a stopper member 34 for regulating the upper limit position of the floating member 31 so that the floating member 31 does not interfere with the crankshaft 16.
