摘要： PURPOSE:To monitor all paths by allowing a cell detection section to generate comparison OAM cell data of an input port number whose reception is estimated corresponding to update of an output port number and comparing the data with cell data received from an object to be tested. CONSTITUTION:An object to be tested 11 having optional input output ports whose input port number is N and whose output port number is M by receiving allowing N-sets of independent cell detection sections 131-13N to receive OAM cells sent from M-sets of independent cell generating sections 121-12M. Each of the cell generating sections 121-12M and each of the cell detection sections 131-13N are provided respectively with a pattern generator and the cell generating sections insert an OAM cell of a prescribed pattern for a prescribed test period to a cell. The cell detection sections check whether or not the OAM cell of a prescribed pattern is reached for a prescribed test period. No cell abort due to congestion takes place even when the OAM cell is simultaneously inserted at an insertion point by scheduling the insertion so that output paths are not overlapped to each cell generating section.

As a result, even on the occurrence of the underflow of the buffer 4, a data output from a cell is attained even on the occurrence of the underflow in the buffer 4. Thus, the cell delay time is not increased even when the number of delay circuits is increased.

CONSTITUTION:A frequency distribution storing memory 6 inputs a cell flow rate signal S6 and stores the frequency of the same cell flow rate at each measuring time interval. A frequency latch circuit 7 latches the frequency from the memory 6 at each measuring time interval. Then a frequency adder circuit 8 increases the latches frequency. In such a constitution, the frequency of the same cell flow rate is stored in the memory 6 at each measuring time interval with the cell flow rate define as a memory address. Thus the scale of the memory 6 can be reduced.

CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a VP constitution table 1 where real transmission lines which the VPs can pass through are recorded and a path table 2 where the excessive bands are recorded for the respective real transmission lines. Then, in a VP setting part 4, one of the VPs settable to the destination included in the request is selected by referring to the VP constitution table 1, the excessive band value of the transmission line is obtained from the path table 2, the excessive band value and the transmission band value included in the request are compared and it is judged that setting is possible when an excess is present. When it is judged that the setting is impossible, different selection is performed. Also, when it is judged that the setting is possible, the VP band of the request is secured and the part of the band is subtracted from the path table 2.
