摘要： PURPOSE:To monitor all paths by allowing a cell detection section to generate comparison OAM cell data of an input port number whose reception is estimated corresponding to update of an output port number and comparing the data with cell data received from an object to be tested. CONSTITUTION:An object to be tested 11 having optional input output ports whose input port number is N and whose output port number is M by receiving allowing N-sets of independent cell detection sections 131-13N to receive OAM cells sent from M-sets of independent cell generating sections 121-12M. Each of the cell generating sections 121-12M and each of the cell detection sections 131-13N are provided respectively with a pattern generator and the cell generating sections insert an OAM cell of a prescribed pattern for a prescribed test period to a cell. The cell detection sections check whether or not the OAM cell of a prescribed pattern is reached for a prescribed test period. No cell abort due to congestion takes place even when the OAM cell is simultaneously inserted at an insertion point by scheduling the insertion so that output paths are not overlapped to each cell generating section.

摘要： PURPOSE:To insert a monitor cell at a designed position and to facilitate even the monitor of a duplex constitution in regard of a monitor cell insertion control system which monitors the inside of a cell processor. CONSTITUTION:A monitor cell inserting cell generating part 1 is provided together with a monitor cell inserting part 2, and a monitor cell extracting part 3. A monitor cell inserting cell is formed in a user cell train at the part 1. In a duplex constitution of 0 and 1 systems, the monitor cell inserting cells are formed in the same timing in both 0 and 1 systems. The part 2 detects the monitor cell inserting cell through a detecting part 6 and controls a selector 5. Then the part 2 selects and outputs the monitor cells held in a buffer memory 4 in order to insert and transfer the monitor cells. The part 3 extracts these monitor cells and collates them with each other to monitor the normal state of a transfer path.

A signal processing part 8 of a reception package 2 extracts the connection information and a comparison part 9 compares it with the connection information of its own package, judging whether or not it is the required one. The result is sent to the operating system of a host system 6. Thus, the erroneous connection of the communications cables can be detected without increasing the hardware of the communications cables.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make a cyclic monitoring without deteriorating the throughput by monitoring cyclic cells generated with the use of the unrequired SDH overhead area from the SDH terminal. CONSTITUTION:A signal terminated in a SDH terminal section 31 is converted from an intra-device frame 11 into an intra-device frame 12 in a cyclic cell generation section 32. In short, removing the SOH and POH of the intra-device frame 11, and the cyclic cell generated in the constant cycle is inserted into the section. The cycle of generating the cyclic cell is an intra-device frame phase, and in this case, it represents the insertion in the STM-N two-frame cycle. Further, a monitoring pattern insertion section 33 detects the cyclic cell from the intra-device frame phase and the monitoring pattern written in the cyclic cell is collated by a monitoring pattern collation section 34 to make an intra-device monitoring. Then a STM constitution section 35 establishes the STM-N frame after abolishing the cyclic cell.

In-block monitor test data insert sections 21, 31 insert the test data in the digital data and the test data are extracted by in-block monitor sections 24, 34, which detect the error. In this case, since monitor blocks T2, T3 in the block and an adjacent block monitor block T23 are overlapped with each other, an unmonitored block in each processing block is eliminated.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide an asynchronous transfer mode ATM switch element and to attain the self-monitoring for a cross connection switch using the ATM switch element. CONSTITUTION:An ATM switch element contains the 1st and 2nd input ports which input the ATM signals, a buffer circuit 1 which temporarily stores the ATM signal supplied to the 1st input port, a selector 5 which performs the switching between the signal read out of the circuit 1 an the ATM signal supplied from the 2nd input port, and an output port which transmits the ATM signal switched by the selector 5. Furthermore a free cell detecting circuit 3 is added to detect a free cell out of the ATM signal supplied from a 1st input terminal together with an inserting circuit 4 which inserts a monitoring cell into the free cell detected by the circuit 3, and a branching circuit 6 which extracts the monitoring cell out of the ATM signal switched by the selector 5 and then branches the monitoring cell.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the routing network monitor system attended with confirmation of a real passing path of a packet with respect to the routing network monitor system. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with a monitor control section 2 inserting a path check packet and recovering the packet to a routing network 1 and with a path monitor section 3 provided to each path in the routing network 1 and providing passing location information corresponding to the path check packet passing through each path and the monitor control section 2 monitors the actual passing state of the routing network 1 based on passing position information of the path check packet to be recovered. Preferably, the monitor control section 2 compares the schedule information of a known path with the passing location information of a recovered packet to monitor the state of the routing network 1. Furthermore, the path monitor section 3 is provided with a comparison section comparing the schedule information of the path added to the path check packet with the passing location information of the path monitor section 3 and outputs an alarm signal to the monitor control section 2 when the coincidence of the comparison is not obtained.
