摘要： PURPOSE:To easily stick coating liquid to a web to penetrate it thereinto and to make coating high-speed by sucking the air existing in the web through a backing roll made of a porous body by an aspirator and exhausting the air. CONSTITUTION:Coating is performed by supplying coating liquid 7 to a web 1 traveling along a backing roll 3 from a coater head 2. The backing roll 3 is made of a porous body and also an aspirator 4 which sucks the air existing in the web 1 via the backing roll 3 is faced to the coater head 2 in the inside if the backing roll 3 and fitted. As a result, coating liquid is easily stuck to the web and penetrated thereinto and coating can be made high-speed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the burning of a spark plug by connecting a branch pipe to a premixing flow path formed to the upper section of a combustion chamber and installing the plug igniting the premixed gas of fuel and a combustion support gas into the premixing flow path. CONSTITUTION:A spark plug 8 is mounted into a premixing flow path 22 shaped to the solid section of a cylindrical member 21. Branch pipes 24, 25 set up branched from a fuel piping 5 and a combustion support gas piping 7 are bonded with the premixing flow path 22. When a pit-bottom vapor generator is started, each one part of fuel and a combustion support gas is branched through the branch pipes 24, 25 branched from the fuel piping 5 and the combustion support gas piping 7. Branched fuel and combustion support gas are introduced into the flow path 22 and changed into a premixed gas, the premixed gas is ignited by the spark plug 8 fitted into the flow path 22, and a pilot flame 29 is formed. Accordingly, the mixture of main fuel ejected from a fuel nozzle 4 and the combustion support gas ejected from a swirler 6 is ignited by the pilot flame 29 shaped, thus forming a main burner flame 12.

In this way, the defect, such as breakdown, traverse cracking, edge cracking, middle part stretching, etc., in the cast strip at just under the rolls 2 is prevented.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a precursor fiber for carbon fiber having random cross-sectional structure and high quality by extruding molten pitch through a nozzle and taking out the pitch fiber from the nozzle face along a direction deviated from the nozzle axis by an angle larger than a specific value. CONSTITUTION:A fiber which is a precursor of carbon fiber is produced by the melt-spinning of petroleum- or coal-based pitch. The molten pitch 1 extruded from a spinning nozzle 3 is taken out in the form of fine stream along a direction deviated from the nozzle face by an angle larger than a specific angle. The angle is dependent upon the origin, nature, temperature, etc., of the pitch. The process for taking out the pitch fiber at an angle larger than a specific angle can be carried out e.g. by arranging a number of nozzles 3 on a nozzle plate in circular form.

Air 36 is supplied into the combined gas with a blower 42 to give a mixed gas. Then the mixed gas is passed through a high-temp. coke layer 41 in the cooling chamber 6, combustible gas components are reacted with oxygen to allow it to burn, thereby forming an incombustible gas.
