The ignition signal and the fail signal are transmitted on the same line. The igniter has a primary waveform shaping circuit which turns the switching element ON when the voltage of an input to which input resistances are connected in parallel becomes higher than a predetermined reference voltage when the ignition signal is passed, and a pulse output circuit which passes to the input resistances the fail signal of the current value suppressed in such a manner that the potential of the input becomes lower than the reference voltage when the ignition signal is passed to the input resistances.
