    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress, with a simple configuration, deformation of a door body part in a baking step, after electrodeposition coating, for a vehicle door that contains an outer panel and an inner panel comprising the material of different coefficient of thermal expansion to assure rigidity of the vehicle door and effectively reduce its weight.SOLUTION: The vehicle door includes an outer panel and an inner panel. The coefficient of thermal expansion of the material constituting the outer panel is larger than the material constituting the inner panel. A hem processing part 8 is formed in which a lower side part 5 of the outer panel and both-side parts 6 extending upward from its both ends are so folded back as to hold the end part of the inner panel. The outer panel and the inner panel at the hem processing part 8 are joined together using an adhesive that cures at the temperature lower than, by 50°C or more, the baking temperature after electrodeposition coating of the vehicle door.

      SOLUTION: In a vehicle door 1, the water-insoluble sealer 8 and water-soluble sealer 7 are arranged and applied onto opposed surfaces of an outer panel 2 and an inner panel 3 made of different metal plate materials so that the water-soluble sealer 7 is located closer to an end portion of the outer panel 2 than the water-insoluble sealer 8. After temporarily connecting them to each other, the end portion 2a of the outer panel 2 is folded back to include an end portion of the inner panel 3, followed by hemming processing. Additionally, the water-soluble sealer 7 is expanded toward a folded-back portion 6 folded back in the hemming processing. Then, the water-soluble sealer 7 oozing out from the end portion of the outer panel 2 is removed by water-washing. Thereafter, a coating sealer 9 is applied to the vicinity of the end portion of the outer panel 2 from which the water-soluble sealer 7 is removed by water-washing.
